That's been fixed since a while ago I think
Indeed, your are right, it seems to have been fixed in a previous version, I tested 2 versions ago, passing first level of Thunderforce V Perfect wasn't working, I've passed all levels and now it work fine! Hurray ^^
Now, I've also tested "Time Commando" Passing first level....And there are a lot of glitches and graphical problem in this one (you battle in a sea of pixels) but managed to pass level one, there is a black blocking screen error at end of level one with error message, I think it should be taken as a basis to try to improve wiistation...Keep up the good work guys!!

That's right. I can confirm that I was playing the game and it didn't cut out at that exact point. I don't remember what version of Wiistation it was, but I can say that this problem has been resolved, at least in that version.

Hello guys I maybe asking a foolish question or something already said ,but could someone point me in the right directions according the numerous options on video? 240p,interlaced, what about dithering? Should be default? Does any option affect performance general wise? Im looking for the most similar to experience to psone original, im on an old crt, please elaborate, thanks

New build of WiiStation is OUT!

Compiled until git https://github.com/xjsxjs197/WiiSXRX_2022/commit/5459158facb5295f5b8ef3b86997d5fbb8e5679a

It has now the option to use the (still in progress) OpenGX GX-hardware-accelerated video renderer, update Lightrec, and a few other tweaks.

Please test this, thanks!

(Maybe @niuus is still interested in this? :) )
I think I still have an old small 2 GB SD card loaded with troublesome games for the GX renderer from back in the WiiSXRX dev days, I could check it.

What's the new folders setup to test HID joysticks? Just the Nintendont usual and that's it? Does it use the "0E6F_0185" names, or the full names from the github?

OpenGX looks incredible but I'd like to draw attention to a game that seemingly runs bad no matter what - Gallop Racer on the PS1 regardless of renderer seems to always run awfully? It's the only PS1 game I've found so far where even the added speed of the OpenGX renderer doesn't help it reach a full 60.

Heh, some obscure titles will probably just not work for awhile, like that weird obscure japanese pinball game.

The good news is that it's still playable with frameskip with software rendering - it might be playable with frameskip on OpenGX too but the video options still aren't hooked up to the renderer it seems so it does nothing. A shame since I'd like to see a return of the bilinear filtering of textures in OpenGX

As someone who still uses a regular CRT and prefers 240p, i suppose the latter wont be possible once OpenGX is fully developed and implemented right?

It should be possible, 240p isn't related to bilinear filtering on textures and the Wii has no issues displaying a 240p image regardless of hardware rendering.

OpenGX does not deal with the video mode, just uses whatever mode has been set up. As long as the client tells it the correct framebuffer size, it should work on any resolution.

I have to say, though, that WiiStation is using a *very* old version of OpenGX, so there might be problems there.

I'm happy to report that Tekken 3, Tobal 2, Goiken Muyou 2 and Street Fighter EX 2 are all fully playable with zero graphical issues on OpenGX! They previously ran with some minor issues but now they're 95 to 99 percent perfect!

Reporting that Symphony of the Night seems at first to be visible again and very playable, BUT, there's still tilemappings appearing broken as well as some sprite effects such as the candles, on top it all if you activate dithering, the entirity of the game's rendering minus the HUD bar and the Damage counter dissapears to black! until you disable dithering.

EDIT: correction, it has nothing to do with vidoe and filter options, game's graphics glitch out quite often during gameplay and many effects still dont work, also top black bar of the screen isnt rendered.

Also i could swear the music still kinda ''poppy and crackly every few seconds or so''

But on the plus side, game no longer slowdowns during the meltdown game over screen, just has one popping sound, the actual effect does not play tough.

G-Police Weapons of Justice still unfortunately really broken visually despite running at full speed on OpenGX, it also runs too slow with software rendering. This is Football 2 and other games that needed special game fixes on the GPU side are also still broken on OpenGX, but run fine with newsoft.

Silent Hill almost perfect but there's a weird issue with transparencies around models sometimes, especially noticable in darker areas.

Hello! Does OpenGX is better than New Soft/Old Soft on FF7?
looking foward to test it, congrats for all the work! :yaywii:

It runs faster and looks sharper and cleaner but is missing framebuffer effects (i.e. the battle transition screen) which might be important on FF7.
