Technically I am. I'm 19 so . . . . thanks?
It's just y'all got the most ridiculous excuse to not like this
Some can't see the weight and impact this game is gonna have to the future generations
There are a lot of contrarians around here, don't give them too much credit
I have issues with Rockstar's game design that are well summed up by NakeyJakey's video. That's why BoTW was the first open world that I legitimately loved, that made me think that open worlds had a purpose and could be good, that they couldn't be replaced by a menu.
But to claim that GTA is bad/overrated/whatever is kinda crazy. The problem of GTA (and RDR for that matter) is that the game design didn't evolve past GTA 3.
I remember with GTA 5, I would hear so often "oh now you can play as 3 characters !!!" as if it was some crazy new innovation.
I just hope the missions are more "open". Right now it's too rigid. When a mission wants you to accomplish an objective, you have to do it the way the devs decided, if you put a step too far it's game over.
With RDR2 they talked so much about how each NPC had their own life and daily path .... but they forgot about the cops I guess ?
That would be so sick if you could learn about regular patrols, and decide to rob something when you think it's clear. Basically give the same system to the police instead of having them spawn out of nowhere right behind you.
(also, wtf is with the cars crashing into you in gta 5 lol)
Despite ALL of that, it's just nuts to claim that GTA is overrated, bad, incomplete, whatever. Some people just hate thinking that sometimes, there are some good things they just don't like, and bad things they enjoy. I would advise anyone to think about why they like the stuff they enjoy, they'll be at peace and will feel no shame enjoying "bad movies/games/books/whatever"
