I'm having an issue with ModMii v8.0.0, two of the files are not downloading properly. I'm using the app to mod a wii using an sd card. File 45 Priiloader and file 48 Priiloader Installer are not downloading, the command line displays "download failed, skipping...". The wizard completes and then displays a failure popup "Some downloads are invalid, missing or were not updated properly". Not sure what do do about this, my previous version worked flawlessly.
Yes, this is because of oscwii is down. Hopefully it comes back up soon. I've already fixed modmii 8.0.1 beta so it doesn't crash after encountering the first oscwii download, but I may take it a step further, at least for critical downloads involved in wizards/guides. This is all that's left (and testing) before releasing 8.0.1, so it's likely a matter of days away from being released, a week tops.

ModMii 8.0.1 Released!
See website or github for changelog and download

One of the bigger changes in this update is the updated and improved Advanced Download Page; here are some screenshots of what it looks like now compared to what it looked like before (and of course it's more functional and faster, see changelog for more info)

Good news, it may be possible to run this on newer versions of Wine, bad news i need to at least be Wine 10 stable and since I am in an old Ubuntu I can only get to Wine 8.5 -_-.

So using the older version on Windows 7 it is.

Remember get Wine from https://www.winehq.org/ as the included versions of Wine if your Linux distro may have problems.

It does not work on Wine 10 from my experience.

Did you install all the libraries? You usually need those for a lot of Windows programs.

Also again, to get Internet to work in Wine get the WineHQ versions.

https://www.winehq.org/

Also launch wine in the terminal to check the errors.
I don't remember, it was a while back. Also many windows programs worked for me on Wine 10, but ModMii was not one of them.

I'm having an issue with ModMii v8.0.1 when using option W = ModMii Wizard if i select to setup usb loader to use usb the files are not saved to copy_to_usb but are in copy_to_sd.
I just pushed 8.0.3 with this fixed. If any more bugs get reported maybe I'll wait a bit before pushing an update to avoid more updates than should be necessary. Hopefully this was the last one :)

ModMii 8.0.3 BugFix Update Released!
  • Fixed bug in ModMii Classic 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 where Auto-Updates were failing.
  • Fixed bug in ModMii Wizards where usbloader apps were saved to SD instead of USB even when USB was selected.
edit: auto-updates in ModMii Classic 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 should be working again

Try str2hax? It is in your ModMii guide.

well i would but, i would perfer to have an sd card for usb loader and nand backup
You can use an SD card? str2hax is just an exploit, it does the same thing as Wilbrand would do, let you load the HackMii Installer.

Probably bad date and time on the Wii, or you put the wrong MAC Address. If str2hax works for you then it does not matter.

Probably the bad date, if a Wii has not been turned on for a while it has the wrong date. It is very easy to fix, no need to even get online, just change the date and time manually to the correct one.

If it has not been turned on in a while and it is wrong, the clock battery probably died. Those are a $2 replacement though... And I recommend replacing them anyways.

It is 1 screw. There is no risk like at all.

In modmii 8.0.3, if I do a syscheck (SU command), it mentions that it can't determine the version of Priiloader that is installed, is this normal? Also in the syscheck.csv it says HBC version is 1.1.2 instead of 5. I just tonight modded this newly bought CPU-60 Wii so technically it should all be up to date.
