yes I have. Works with Emulator and auto pick up code for emulator, I havent changed any value. x2 is perfect to me.
it does not work with max miranium and tickets as mentioned before

As a general rule, the wiki doesn't always detail the exact conditions of game mechanics. It sounds like it does, but this could be a 'birds eye view' of how drops work.

I don't remember exactly, and I might be confusing it with another game but...

I seem to recall that you can't 'pick' a gold chest. Each enemy can drop multiple items and there is a list of set criteria for what can and can't drop, with treasure buffs being one, appendage is another, etc. Depending on the items and their quality drops is what determines what kind of chest drops. So for the cheat to work, you couldn't just bump one parameter (treasure buff) to max - you had to bypass all the checks and just return true.

Of course, I could be thinking of another game and completely wrong - but I'll risk the call out. It's important for people to know that sometimes it's not as simple as flipping a single switch.

Also I looked at the ASM of the treasure code and nothing particular stands out. It would be more useful if I could see the original ASM - but I don't have the hardware to do so.

Im using it now and start again from beginning i think it worked wonderfully on mine its more frequent now that the chest are showing up and higher chance of gold too

I was testing this gold chest code earlier as well. It seemed to do the same thing.
About the appendage question and multiple gold chests. I wasn't paying attention. Just running in, attacking and killing to see what drops with the code enabled. I just tested with both codes, being sure to focus and destroy appendages. That didn't increase the number of chests using Ryujinx. Still golds though.
