Tho on a serious note, the level of attention to detail is impressive to say the least, they recorded 4 unique lines of dialog for the commandant alone, and i'd assume the same for many others/things in the game.. no way a game nowadays would do this

There's not a lot of games today that would have lines recorded for everything such as with Metal Gear. I'm quite impressed but also laughing.
Nowadays we wouldn't even try to do stuff like this (dicking around trying to find neat stuff) because we fully expect games to not have this much detail. Ofc im not speaking about all games released today, but most games are so cookie-cutter on so many areas hence why there's not so much depth anymore
