LOD mod doesn't seem to change draw-distance for grass, or am I misunderstanding what this mod is supposed to do?
i think it just changes some models (probably not all) to be displaying in full quality from a bigger distance...sadly there are no grass distance mods...at least i dont know about them

is that right, i struggle to find the difference between on and off for both LOD and shadow v2 mod. For the shadow mod, I looked at the shadow of the characters during the day and found both on and off equally low resolution, i think there is a difference, but i can't tell if its just placebo. Perhaps some of my emu settings are interfering with the mods.

Adding to the prior discussion on the usage of resolution mods, this is what I found on a Youtube comment section word for word:

How resolution mods work. Pick 1

#1. Disable Scaling by itself is 1080p gameplay 720p cutscenes. (Use 1x Emulator Scaling)

#2. Disable scaling + 2k (Not Friends) is 1404p gameplay 1404p cutscenes. (Use 1x Emulator Scaling)

#3. Emu Scaler Enabler is 1080p gameplay 1080p cutscenes with disable scaling Improved DOF and disabled AA so you can scale with the emulator. (Scale away)

#4. 2k Friends is 1440p gameplay 1440p cutscenes with disable scaling and improved DOF. (use 1x Emulator Scaling)

#5. Super Sampling 2x is 1080p gameplay 1080p cutscenes with 2x internal resolution. (Scale Away Has Jitter)

theboy had some comparison pictures of feronises LODs stationed in colonies... the shadow mod I am also not sure how works...And thank you, looks like i misremembered how 2k friends mod should be used. 1K scaling is correct (but it worked with 2K for me as well, but maybe some effects were incorrect)

EDIT: My Lod comparison (same distance from feronis):

EDIT2: I tested improved shadows with different mods, but i think its just not working...i think it worked normally 1-2 years ago though...maybe some game update broke it? Or maybe it doesnt improve shadows of characters? I was comparing character shadows in my testing.

In yuzu, right click Xenoblade 3, select "open mod data location", and extract the attached archive into that folder. Then restart Yuzu, right click xenoblade 3, select "properties", and it should show up, make sure the checkbox is checked and it should work.
does not work. helpp ?

Hi all, playing on ver. 2.2.0 on Yuzu with all DLC installed, but I'm having trouble getting Noah and Mio's amiibo to scan. Currently, scanning them gives me the non-Xenoblade amiibo drops instead of their intended ones. Scanning Shulk, Pyra, and Mythra seems to work fine. Can anyone help?

Kain's original message said 2x ss fixed the jitter. Nopon optic still has jitter. Though personally I think emu scaler enabler with 4x scale will generally give the best results. In yuzu at least 2x ss runs terribly. It doesn't really make sense. On one boot it might be running above 30 and then on the next its in the 20s. Nopon optic is fine, but it seems to disable anti aliasing in gameplay anyway and looks blurry for the psudo cutscenes.

On Cheatslips for XBC3 v2.20 [82D187FE9EF9BE92] there are 2 .txt files, the cheats by Eiffel2018 crashes the game, whereas the other one by Imwmi, doesn't change anything can someone please try and confirm , or please provide working cheats.txt? Thank you.
for me the Eiffel ones crash the game.. but imwemi ones work.. however, the "restore" code is really a "master" code and needs to be on for any of the others to work.

I also noticed the Eiffel codes use different memory blocks than imwemi. Eiffel all start with 040E0000 but imwemi use 400B0000.. not sure why the difference.

Also just to add, this is both for emulator and hardware.

I took some screenshots and compared them. I think I have a good guess as to what nopon optic optimizer is doing. For gameplay just like 2x supersampling it doubles the internal resolution(the output is 1080p). The difference here is it appears to disable anti-aliasing whereas 2x supersampling does not. It will look better than just using emu scaler enabler with 4x emu scale. It gets rid of the ambient occlusion flicker entirely whereas emu scale does not. In cutscenes nopon optic appears to just render them at 1080p with anti-aliasing enabled. Since emulator scaling doesn't work properly with taa(unless if the game's internal resolution is high) it ends up looking very blurry.

2x supersampling ofc has no compromise, but it causing crashing in ryujinx and on a 7800x3d/4090 you will barely be above 30fps.

So I did a thing.. I found Eiffel's 2.0.0 code list and Ran them through the Code updater tool found in this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/code-up...odes-by-yourself-v1-1-2-customization.610647/

Low and behold all of Eiffel's cheats now work on my switch with no crashes (have not tested emulator). There was only one code I couldn't get to convert, it was the "No SP Reduction Code" hopefully this file works for others as well.

Does anyone happen to know why 2x supersampling acts like this? My gpu utilization is spiking and its causing some weird stutter. It doesn't do this with reactive flushing disabled and the framerate is a lot higher.

I'll be going through the cheats again, seems for some reason they work for me on my switch and emulation, but others are saying they cause crashes. I know they crash with breeze a lot if you don't load cheats from file. But seem to work with Edizon OVL/Tesla for some and not others.

I am running xc3 on ryujinx emulator version 1.1.1343. I play with mods on vulcan and in principle everything works well, but I have a problem with particles. In cutscenes and when exploring the world, the particles that fly out of the bodies of the characters work very poorly and I do not know how to solve this problem. Can someone tell me what to do?

Hello, is anybody experiencing crashes as soon as any of these updated codes are checked on Switch? I use Breeze and I have the last updated cheats file.

Finally done going through with IMHex and updating the original cheats. If you find any issues please let me know.

[Xenoblade Chronicles 3 v2.2.0 TID=010074F013262000 BID=82D187FE9EF9BE92] by Eiffel2018

Updated 11/07/2024 Should work with Breeze now, crashes fixed with XP cheats.
No matter how I try, Edizon, Breeze, the game crashes anyway with any of these codes. First time this ever happens to me.

The only solution is to use Yuzu with high gpu accuracy.

1. Download link is in the theboy181 discord server (check pinned messages in "xc3-friends" channel for download link)
I recommend using his other mods which are pinned there as well. Mod descriptions are pinned as well. I am using 2K - xc3-friends - v2, Improved LOD, Improve Shadows v2, 60-30fps mods. All have been updated to the 2.2.0 version of the game.
Discord link: discord-gg/xnbqgVMPny (change "-" before gg to "." )

2. Dont know
3. Sadly no afaik (I was just looking for it)
So idk if I'm somehow doing something wrong or not, or if the guy is trying to gatekeep mods behind a paywall or what, I dont even really see a way I'd pay even if I was going to do that, like there's a donate option on the link from his twt account but there's also a discord link there that doesn't work so..?

Yeah what I'm saying is the link isn't working, and I tried just joining through the link that says its his discord on there too, seems public enough if its there like that but it just doesn't work?? Anything you could do to help me get the mods would be appreciated, seen a few people say they're really good so it would be nice to try them out, especially since all the graphical ones on his github aren't under the 2.2 update and I cant tell if they're even working and doubt my save would work with the prior version.

Maybe we can just add each other on discord and you can send them through there seeing as you have them idk lol

theboy removed his discord so the link no longer works...here is an alternate download link for mods:

I was playing the game with all the mods just fine at version 2.1.1, i just updated to 2.2.0 and used the performance mods (no cheats) in this thread and now the game wont load, does any one know what may be causing the issue?

mods are version specific, you need to update your mods as well

anyone here finish XC3 on an amd gpu? I've heard bad things about amd compatibility with Xenoblade chronicle games but all the threads are from 2022. 2-3 years later it's now almost 2025 and amd has released a bunch of newer stuff and drivers.

any amd users still experiencing issues with XC3 when emulating on Yuzu or Ryujinx?
