If you take a pencil and make a dot on paper, simulating the earth, then stretch a small thread and extend it to it's length and draw a circle based on that length... is the Earth still at the center?
Also, it's been theorized that the Big Bang ("origin of the universe") left radiation/waves/particles expanding throughout the Universe, and humans simply have measured that radiation/waves/particles with telescopes and what not (assuming spectrometry and other).
As a matter of fact, CRTs TVs and Radios makes the typical "pfffffffffft" sound when there's no signal because they're broadcasting the same radiation that left the Big Bang.
Either that or other kind of radiation coming from space, because again, Big Bang is still a theory.
