I don't know about where you are from, but here in Canada, there is a minimum of natural ingredients that are required by law.
For exemple, cheez whiz, here, is made from actual cheddar (like 50% cheddar or something). Canada's law are more strict about artificial food and you can't just make your food 100% artificial.
100% Artificial doesn't mean fake.
It's called artificial because the components/flavors/aromas were made in a lab.
For instance, let's take Vanilla as an example, real vanilla flavour is expensive, but if you look at the chemical formula of Vanilla (C8H8O3) then we can put it together artificially instead of extracting it naturally. Chemical Formula It's what gives vanilla its characteristic aroma and flavor.
Mexico has a government institution called PROFECO that does exactly as you mentioned for Canada. It evaluate products, measures how much of it it's on their compounds and forces brands to re-labell their nutriment information/slogans/brands or they're retired from the market for good.

Again, artificial doesn't mean "fake", just made by humans, but chemically it's the exact same compound.

Since tomato is actually a fruit, that means ketchup is a smoothie.
Change my mind
Smoothies are raw, ketchup is cooked.
It contains fruit, sugar and an acidity regulator blended together and cooked, ketchup is a jam :tpi:
