Emulation Game not launching Wiisxr

I installed wiisxr on my wii and downloaded a spyro the dragon rom. When I put the exported spyro rom into the isos folder and then I put the sd card in my wii and boot up wiisxr and select the spyro folder and then click play game it says that I haven't selected a game. Is there something with the rom or am I just stupid?

Why on earth, in 2022, would you use good 'ole wiisxr? There's WiiSXRX and Wiistation at this point.

Update: I installed wiisxrx but when I ran my spyro rom i got a exception (dsi) occurred.

how do i fix this

By using the BIOS. Check the readme.

I need help I use wiisxrx but for some reason it freezes after the universal splash screen what's the problem is it because I only use the .bin do I also need the .cue what is it

Okay now it gets to the mountains but the picture doesn't move and the sound plays further then it has dsi error

I have a wii classic controller it works for Crash,pepsiman,and parappa, so it's not that

Spyro the Dragon works fine in the build I'm using. Try updating to the latest version if your copy of the game is not working.
In case you have the latest version, then it's a bad dump... download dump it again.
