Metroid Prime Remastered is a bad remaster.
The controls are fine, but emulators solved them years ago. My problem is the new visuals.
The original Metroid Prime was going for realism. The graphics were cutting edge at the time. The remasters graphics just don't feel the same. I don't know how else to describe this, but imagine areas from the remaster in a Pikmin game. They would fit right in.
I would've rather Nintendo waited a generation to release a more cutting edge remaster on more powerful hardware. The real tragedy though is that a fanmade remaster was in the works that was providing everything I wanted, that got cancelled following the official remaster.

I can agree with all of them except I can only halfway agree with the first one.

I know I already said something like this for FF7, but most JRPGs are extremely overhyped to the point where I don't really wanna play them.
Like, I know the hype is supposed to make me WANT TO, but it does the opposite for some reason.
What's that, Persona is one of the greatest games of all time? Well I think people are too hyped for me to try it out.
Although I'm unsure whether this is an unpopular opinion or just an issue with me.
