As the current releases of DBI are in Russian (I respect the authors decision in this) I tried to translate the, for me, most used menus in English
I combined several OCR, translate websites and the DBI 6.58 (last) English menu so here is my attempt in translation:

Out of interest has anyone tried patching the switch memory with an overlay or cheat so when this app it running it can change the text that's in memory? I mean you can patch games with edizon, surely you can do the same thing for strings in memory and use edizon overlay to activate a custom patch to display text in english.

Why go through so much trouble when all you have to do is patch you brain to recognize either a few words or remember a few pattern on screen. Should only take a few use of DBI to become comfortable like the English version. When I use the old release in English I don't know when it is going to crash or save being useless, it is really a very small price to pay.

The fact is that you could easily add with minimum coding a setting in dbi.config so people could put their own text in but for some reason you won't. If you won't do this, out of spite or whatever reason you have, people will probably look at your app and find their own way to get around the Russian only text - memory patching for each version you release might be a way for people to do this if you won't.

Right. And that's why they were looking at other possible solutions. What you're saying is that you'd rather everyone just give up. Things don't get done when people stop caring and just give up. That can be applied to everything in life.

Giving up has never solved anything, ever. Not that it always helps, but it for sure never provides solutions.

It used to be implemented. The feature is probably still there in the code, just disabled for whatever "I want to make a point" non-technical reason. If anything it took time to disable it (if only commenting the line of code that enables language selection).

dbi is now only available in russian? what happened? not following scene drama, can anyone give a tldr version?

anyway i still use tinfoil since it's way faster than dbi when loading games off my nas with ftp (30-40MB/s vs 10-20MB/s, not sure why).
