This doesn't actually mean anything. Republicans generally vote in person on election day. Their party leaders are after all against mail and absentee voting and consistently preach to their constituents that it's rife with fraud and other criminal activity. A significant number of Republicans are even opposed to early voting as well.

They also don't typically care to research ahead of time what is on the ballot, they will just vote straight R down ballot on election day.

Even I am somewhat sketchy about mail voting at the moment, though for different reasons as the GOP. Trump's appointed postmaster general (and mega donor of the orange criminal) Louis DeJoy is still running the USPS. And he came under quite a bit of fire in 2020 for allegedly attempting to stifle mail voting. Biden apparently does not have the power to fire him either unfortunately.

To say that it doesn't mean anything is a bit much. Yes, Democrats vote by mail more than Republicans. It's still quite a large gap, which will need to be watched while the counting is being done, just like in 2020. Heck, the right were even banking on it, so that they could just claim that they won before they were counted.

But I agree. If I were American, I'd gladly go out on voting day. It would just feel more like voting than just putting a letter in a box. The atmosphere adds a certain something.

Not surprised. Biden is right, but anyone could have guessed that really. If he loses he will delegitimize Kamala, even if she wins by a lot, by saying she never got one vote in the DNC primary therefore she should never have been allowed to run for president. ergo, he is the real winner of the election.
