Bought a homeless man a box of chocolate muffins and an orange juice (it's what I'd rather drink than a soda).

Elsewhere, bought a mug gift set for someone which I'll give her later.

Yesterday, I ordered a free hard copy of the Bible to read it. I did so because, I consider myself Christian, but rarely been to church and never read the Bible despite calling myself Christian (I know, there's a lot who do this).

Just buy a new Kettle for my mother´s house:

Machi Koro just got a digital version, so I grabbed it on Steam to play with the family!

Super simple game but with it relying on dice rolls it gets heated quickly. A part of me wishes there were some kind of shoed in story mode or something outside of just the raw card game, but it is a very solid and faithful implementation, so I can't complain too much.

I've been looking into getting a new eInk device to replace my quite old Kindle Paperwhite. Seen quite a few people talk about the Boox Palma, which is basically an eInk Android device, so after doing some research...

I bought a Hisense Hi Reader Pro instead

Flashed LineageOS 21 to get rid of any of the built in Chinese spyware and have native gapps support and I'm quite enjoying it so far! Refresh rates on eInk have definitely vastly improved since my 2014 Paperwhite, I could almost consider this fully usable as a daily driver phone, even videos are at least moderately watchable which was surprising.

Wife and daughter went to Japan for a month, just got home yesterday. Since I didn't go along this time, no new retro game hardware.:( They did bring me a few doo-dads though, like this Zelda coaster from the Tokyo Nintendo store. And not unpacked yet, but somewhere in the suitcases there are some items from Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Osaka. Like mini plushies, a small Bowser figure, some trick pens. Stuff like that.

And I got a new watch.

Got a new PC, though this time a used Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet Gen 3. Basically a glorified windows tablet with attachable keyboard.

13", Intel i5 8350U (4c/8t), 8gb ram, 256gb SSD, wifi 6, nice IPS, headphone jack, MicroSD slot. Not a gaming machine by any means thanks to only having an iGPU, but it's beefy enough for browsing and my office work, and the screen makes youtube videos look really pretty. Keyboard is also more than fine. I'm not entirely certain yet whether I'm going to keep it or not (can still return it for free for almost 2 weeks) but probably.

And also I got some music, this time for the 3DO.

I assume you've already found it, but I very much recommend KOReader for an e-reading app. I have HiSense's e-ink music player that's basically the same form factor, and KOReader is just a live changer. Small things like being able to use the volume buttons to turn pages just make it so nice as something you can pull out and use quickly.

Here's a few of those Super Nintendo World (Osaka) items I mentioned above. Please excuse my mangled thumb - minor mishap with a saw while doing some yardwork.

These "watches" are worn while in the park for access to attractions or something like that.

Expensive pens. Mario jumps from the pipe, and the Koopa walks.
