Hi.

I have a flashcard with no label on it. I know that ysmenu can brick some flashcards if you don't choose the correct kernel.

I wanted to know if there is another kernels that could brick my flashcard if they are not correct.

Thanks.

I'm pretty new to flashcarts/flashcards myself, but I believe the idea is that any mismatched kernel can brick your flashcart which is why it's essential that you know what flashcart you have so you can know which firmware is compatible. If you don't have a label, I would think that you would probably have to open it up rather than just blindly trying and hoping for the best.

I would use TWiLight Menu++ personally
Yes, but you can't do that without at least knowing exactly which card it is, or you can't get the right menu files on the card for twlmenu autoboot

and then you're back to square one anyway for actually running games, unless you're ok with b4ds limited compatibility

Honestly, on some cards I find B4DS perfectly fine. Like on one of the cards I have I have it can't run Pokémon B&W2 without AP patches manually applied. Whereas on TM++ I can start it right up and it runs full speed no problem.

very cool actually, I wasnt aware that b4ds compatibility was this good these days

in which case even if you're not 100% sure of the card, you can try every autoboot file in twlmenu until you find the one that works lol. I dont think twlmenu would have a brick risk like ysmenu at least?

Probably depends on how good your cart's DLDI driver is. I've never heard of TM++ bricking any carts.

If you read my whole post you would see I gave a solution for finding the card type. Open up the flashcart.

yes, if they want to use ysmenu, is what you said. the point is that using twlmenu instead doesnt mean you dont still need to figure out what the card is... but it's easier to be condescending, isnt it?

did you read my post?

I did read your post, and what I meant is "To figure out what your flashcart is". I understand that you can't read my mind. But that doesn't mean you should disregard my whole point over one mistake.

Finally r4i-sdhc com_DEMON_1.85b-notimebomb works with this card.

Maybe i will get an r4isdhc . hk 2024 dual core clone from ali to use wood.

Thanks a lot.
