USB Loader GX stopped reading from SD and can't change paths

So I homebrewed and had a single game on the SD. It worked fine. Now USB loader GX isn't loading from the SD card. It is displaying all the NAND channels no games. All the custom paths are now "usb8:/..." if I try to change them it says "error" and there is no USB inserted. No clue how to fix. I have seen a suggestion from 2011 saying delete global config file. that is not on my SD so not sure where it could be. A file explorer I downloaded on the Wii shows the SD card as empty. I have just successfully booted through "configurable USB loader" so I know the SD card is readable. I just want it to work again on USB loader GX

I’m having the same problem and still not sure what I did that usbloader gx won’t read my sd card. Nintendont and other apps read my sd card fine but usbloader gx won’t

If only I had formatted my SD card to 1 partition with MBR boot sector and 32k cluster size, it'd be working again!

Wah wah! I'm too dumb to use CFG USB Loader which pretty much is much better than GX! Wah wah!

Funny story, I had a USBLoader 1.0 working on my old Wii. I recently dusted it off and started playing it with my kids and thought "huh I should update this", so I updated the cIOS and the USBLoader app and a few other things. Well I got the same error everyone here is going on about.

I must say your reply, made me check my SD card format since it had been so long, and I watched the SD card partition explode in windows "Computer Management". Formated a new SD in the same format your reply recommended, and my problems are solved. So, I just came here to say, thanks for being an @$$hole. It helped me! hahaha

Does the SD need to be fat32 to load from USBLoaderGX? Or is NTFS fine?
