Hello I am new to the switch modding scene. I just got a chipped switch. I have a normal switch which is not chipped. Can I use the profile of my non modded switch on the new chipped switch? Or do I have to make a new profile.

You can use your non modded switch profile if you got a clean NAND on the modded switch.

Hi thank for your reply. As I said Iam very new to mooded since. What I would like to do is backup all my games and place them on my chipped switch. I like to have all my save on the modded as well. I don't plan to go online ever. So can you please tell me how to get all the above working?

What you have to do is log into your account on the chipped switch if it clean, but if you intended to use it offline then might not be worthwhile unless you make the chipped switch your primary console that is under your Nintendo account.

Not without linking your nintendo account on your chipped switch.

If you want games and save data linked to your Nintendo account you have to sign in, if you set the modchip switch as secondary switch it will need to check every time you launch a game if one of your switch is using your account or not. If it is primary then there is no checking.

I alway thought that if you connect a chipped switch to the nintendo servers that would be good way to get banned. It look like I will have to create a new profile on the chipped switch. What is the safe way to have a profile on a chipped switch. Can you fake acount on the chipped switch?
