Metal Switch OLED backplate and bezel

I just found these on Aliexpress. Has anyone tried them before ? I’m curious about the quality and if it will affect the WiFi or anything in the switch itself

I have a set of aluminum joycons from boxypixel and their wireless range does get affected a bit(instant disconnect if a dog walks between you and your console) and breaks NFC(so no amiibo) but those are only minor downsides imo

I never had a chance to order it since I’ve been stuck in the middle of a big move until recently

I see one for oled on AliExpress. $50 is a tough call though, hard to justify the cost when it would be a minor benefit on system temps.

I don’t care about temps honestly the switch handles em fine on its own. I have a launch day switch that has been running without the metal backplate and max overclocked for years now

I more so just am interested in a metal backplate to match my metal boxypixel joycons

I think that might completely kill the wireless connection, you said the range is already bad with just the JoyCons. It would be twice as bad as that.

I play close to 100% handheld but you’re probably right, worst case I can just replace the fan if temps become a problem.
