DBI saves

How do i go about copying saves for installed games? everytime i try i get file *whatever game* can not be created.

running dbi 576 and fw 16.0.2

I personally only use JKSV if it comes to saves

Maybe, I'm not sure how DBI saves. You can try with JKSV or Checkpoint and see if they can see the files.

First you should look into DBI configuration for the path of "Save backup folder":

if the folder do not exist you can not create backups, create the folder or change the path to a existent folder.

Also on DBI you can:

Use the MTP responder then from a PC using USB connect to console, you will be presented with the "switch" MTP device which have several folders, one is saves:

Inside you will find each game savegames for installed or uninstalled games:

and inside there is a folder for each game, inside that folder you will find folders for each profile (and for system, cache and BCAT if available):

You can backup that folder(s) or replace the files if you like.

But as Linuxares told you, JKSV is the best Game Save manager, you can keep several backup versions, sync them to GDrive, a graphical and intuitive gui, so give it a try.

Also I use the FTPD sysmodule from https://github.com/cathery/sys-ftpd so I always can connect and transfer files from the console without running any homebrew.

i got the saves from dbi but when i try to copy them back it gives me that message and cancels the queue

maybe first u need to run the game on the second switch to let the game create save file than transfer the original to replace newly created one (?)

The zipfipe created by dbi contains files prefixed with a \ , windows can't deal with this properly. I can extract all the files, but i can't put the main file back in this \ folder in the file. Maybe I'm stupid but I can use some help...

It's your windows issue. DBI never use "\", only "/" used in all paths
