The question is "what DS is more common"
The 3DS is a DS with 3D, thus 3DS. No matter how you look at it, or think about it, or examine it, the 3DS IS a DS.


Anyways, lite is most common. Been around for a long time, is very cheap, and is pretty reliable.

3DS has much more stuff pack into then just 3D than the old ds line.

It isn't just another DS.

That like if they called the NGP the psp2 and you calling it just another psp.

It could have a "frickin laserbeam attached to its frickin head" and the power to control fucking gravity, as long as it has DS in its title it's a DS. It's not called the 3notaDS. There is literally nothing you can logically say to combat that the 3DS isn't a DS, because it's impossible...because it IS a DS. It just has more features.

PS3 is another playstation
Xbox360 is another xbox
All the new features and hardware in the world can't break them from those ties, just like a DS.

You should invest in a helmet, a helper, and cups with lids if you honestly lie to yourself and say the 3DS isn't a DS.

But it's not a DS. DS in the original stood for Dual Screen. 3DS stands for 3 Dimensional System (or Screen, I can't remember which). you might as well consider them different initials because they don't represent the same words.

Wii and gamecube are quite different. Unlike the playstation or xbox, the Nintendo consoles went through some radical changes, and a big one being they don't all play the same type of media. You couldn't plug a NES cartridge into an SNES, can't use SNES games in an N64, can't use an N64 cartridge in a GC/Wii. Unlike the DSphat, DSlite, DSi and 3DS all being able to play the same thing, a DS game cartridge. Playstations are the same (theoretically...thanks to sony sucking for PS2 on a PS3). But anyways the main point, nintendo consoles are nintendo consoles.
