Whatever happened to the badger?

Hello, fine people. I am writing this message to share my recent experiences over the past few days, as I have developed a strong attachment to many members of this community, despite my interactions with some of the staff.

So, why have I been absent from posting? There was a conflict between myself and some staff members. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will not disclose private messages (as I like to consider myself a decent badger). Instead, I will focus on the facts that led to a change in my behavior on the forum:

- On September 12th, I received a warning for necrobumping. In response, I made a suggestion, entirely in good faith, to allow necrobumping under reasonable circumstances (which you can find here). I was essentially told that it was allowed. So, I continued my usual practice of reading several pages of threads and replying to the most interesting ones with thoughtful contributions.

- On September 18th, I received a rather unusual private message from a moderator, instructing me to stop necrobumping or face consequences. The message was locked, preventing me from responding. I returned to the aforementioned thread, quoted the moderator's "it's allowed, duh" message, and replied with a screenshot of his contradictory private message, asking him to clarify his stance. He did not appreciate this and subsequently banned me for a day, issuing another warning.

- On September 19th, I reached out to the administrators to request the removal of my warnings and included the moderator in question (again, as a decent badger). My request was denied. I also asked for my messages to be deleted, as I was considering deleting my account. That request was also denied. In protest, I ceased my engagement with the forum on my own.

Since I value many people here, I chose not to delete my account but instead to find a solution that would satisfy everyone. Here is my plan:

- I will no longer reply to any thread with the last response being older than 15 minutes from the time I have first laid my badger eyes upon it, so no one can accuse me of necrobumping. This rule obviously does not apply for the news on the forum homepage.
- I have removed all of my previous messages and am starting anew. Although many of my messages remain visible due to quotes from other users, I am fine with that. I decided to keep the Jr;;p thread in the EoF because it was too entertaining and clever to let it disappear.
- I will limit myself to creating one thread per week.
- My blog articles will be published exclusively on my new website (while adhering to Gbatemp's and Neocities' ToSs), and the exciting projects I had planned for the forum are on hold indefinitely.
- Despite my reaction-to-post ratio, I am not satisfied with the overall quality of my messages and will spend at least one minute of my time before posting anything.

That’s all. I hold no grudges against anyone and, to me, this drama is dead and buried. It's why you can read this but can't comment. I am currently happy to be back and to read the opinions, stories, reviews, and blogs of my favorite users in here.

As for my personal life: it has rained heavily, leaving my grassy area wet and muddy. I saw a cat today.
