Well. As you know, I'm a third year university student, living on campus on the "dry" residence. (Technically, fourth year - but it's fine - I like school.) It's fine, but kind of boring. But anyhow, you know college students use Halloween as an excuse to party hearty. However, this year, I'm hosting a Halloween dinner at my place. A quiet affair with no alcohol, but plenty of creepy movies to get us going!
1st Year:
- bar hopping with friends in a Duracell battery costume
- got entirely too drunk as people kept buying me drinks
2nd Year:
- just did the school's gay/straight alliance potluck dinner
- dressed as a male electrical plug (homemade costume)
3rd Year:
- went to the only gay/lesbian bar in town
- made a Silent Hill Pyramid head cosplay (you see it in my profile picture)
- froze to death outside waiting for a cab, and ended up getting hit on by two lovely ladies
- took a terrifying unlicensed cab back to the dorms
Present:
- potluck dinner at my house (I've made a brain mould jello dish, and a couple of spaghetti dishes)
- movies (have a huge selection, including some Japanese subtitled ones that I know are good.)
- no booze!
Crazy movie recommendation: As you know, I went to see Paranormal Activity 3. There was this amazing looking horror film called "The Devil Inside". It looks to be about exorcists (who use a combination of science/faith) to clean the clock of the woman who is experiencing multiple possessions. It started off as an explanation from the possessed woman's daughter - apparently her mother killed off several people, and the Vatican got involved. Her mother is secluded in a location by the Vatican, and she seeks an exorcist to fix her mother. It looks good, and includes classic moves like contortion, (no puking, thank the goddess), and speaking in tongues.
