You're whining about not being able to get free games...The way it sounds, you could care less that PSN is actually back up, and that you just want the free games that you're entitled to. God, at least be happy about SOMETHING...People are so ungrateful nowadays.

No I am NOT upset AT SONY or any other shit, I'm happy as fuck PSN is back up, and I'm pretty much on it A LOT lately playing Black Ops & SSFIV, waiting for Arcade Edition to come out.

Yes, I am upset about the Welcome Back thing 'cause I was psyched about the 2 free games but only found out TODAY that I am not able to get them, ALSO posting this in case other people weren't sure (Since I only found out today.)

But I am mainly upset because the way the store has been acting up, it's acting as if my Prepaid PSN 20$ card isn't valid, when I just bought it, entered it, got some error, and now it just isn't accepting it at all and the money isn't in my account.

I don't really know why I have to defend myself all the time when I write these blogs, but I always end up doing so.

NO I'm not all "FUCK YOU SONY" like most of these dumb-ass kids are, OBVIOUSLY or else I wouldn't of stuck with my PS3 through-out the whole outage with like, 2 games under my belt, one of which is a PS Move bowling game and I don't even own a fucking PS Move.


THERE, there is my statement, and in all honesty, Hells Malice, I am sorry that your account shit isn't working out right, but if you call Sony they do have an option for resetting your password over the phone, maybe you could try that.

and any time I call support for any company, i get to talk to someone who seems to have been in the process of learning English for about a week, I can't understand a god damn thing they ever say and just end up hanging up. Don't feel like going through that again when they should just have the website working. It's unbelievable that resetting a password is impossible outside of using a PS3.

I created my PSN account once I bought my Go so it was in the later part of the downtime. So no free games for me.

Kinda a shame, I was gonna pick LittleBigPlanet. It's kinda a pain to go through all the stuff to get DLC on a pirated version and it's not really worth my $20 to download.

My power went off for five seconds while downloading Dead Nation. Hopefully that didn't screw up anything.

What usually happens when the power goes out during downloads? I assume the game was being held in some kind of memory, and I guess it just erases the temporary memory and everything is ok?

I still cant sign on.

Worry not, PSN downloads are resumable. It'll just pick up where it left off.

the power outage turned the ps3 off though.

everything seems to be ok as far as i can tell. i just signed back in, and re-started the download of dead nation. it started back at the beginning.

@OP - I suggest sending an email to Sony and explain your situation that you bought your PS3 on the day of the outage. If you could include a copy of your scanned receipt, and ask for the offer, I wouldn't be surprised if you got it. I mean, it's not going to cost them much more money, is it? The worse they can do is say No.

I had 2 games aswell during the outage.
Black Ops and Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction

Yeah I had some dumb-ass bowling game, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Luckily, my friend lent me Resistance 2, Burnout Paradise, I found Bioshock 2 for 10$ brand new, and my buddy lent me Portal 2 only a week after it came out. . .

I only had 35 games during the blackout. Curse you Sony!

Lol, I had no games at all.


Anyway, I've been getting inFAMOUS and maybe Stardust. I don't want any of the psp games though. And I'll just be playing the free games I've gotten from PSN + for a month till it's gone.
