Ovi Store destroyed my phone

Yesterday night, I tried to download things from the Ovi store. Thinking my battery will be emptied, I changed battery. And now it will not start up nor pass the nokia logo screen.

I done this 7 times and no result.

Finally, I noticed that my account is not loggin on properly and all my downloads were just luck.

After I saved my apps, I hard reset again.

I need to download 2 more files and that's it - Good bye Ovi Store.

So yeah, my Ovi Store account destroyed my phone.

Here's my full story:

[Message:Dear Nokia,

On Saturday, 21st of November 2009, at approx. 1pm, I bought my very own Nokia N97 for Php 26, 700.

The Nokia N97 was still in firmware v. 11 and I update it via Over the air for v.12. I checked the Nokia Software Update and it has v.20 for my phone.

Today, 23rd of November 2009, at approx 8pm-12mn, I am having some problems with my phone.

First, my phone gives me the "MEMORY FULL" error when opening applications or a photo but I don't have anything more running in the background and I'm a veteran user of the Series 60 Software. Thinking I could resolve it, I hard reset my phone by pressing SHIFT+BACKSPACE+SPACE BAR while pressing the power button.

And now that some files were missing, I downloaded some of them from the OVI store with my username, ECGR.

After I download some files, I decided to remove the battery to have it change. Upon opening the phone, it will not go past the Nokia logo screen and is stuck until I remove the battery. I had done HARD RESET 5 times with each the same (re-download the files and same thing, not opening when the battery was removed)and I decided to re-install the v.20 firmware and same result that the phone will not open.

I'm currently doing some HARD REST on my phone for the 6th time and will re-download the applications again.

My question is:

Is this a factory defect or a software defect? Can I return my phone at the store and have it exchange?

I have 2 additional batteries from my previous phones, Nokia E90 Communicator (x2), and it would be a hassle if I want to change battery and the phone will not open.

I'm really disappointed at the Nokia N97 despite that I praised it when it's still announced until I got my hands on it.]
