Now that I finally have multi-ROM, I am not even using it...

I must have checked this site and the official Gateway page at least half a dozen times a day, every single day, from when they first announced multi-ROM to the day it got released.

Spent a few hours the first day the official release came out testing out the new features, and haven't touched it since.

The only game I am currently playing on my 3DS XL, after beating Bravely Default, is the one game that I actually paid for; Phoenix Wright - Dual Destinies.

I wonder if anyone else is in the same boat. I feel like the Fred Sanford of hacking. I don't necessarily want to PLAY the games that I download, I just want to HAVE them.

I hear you. I played with multiROM a bit, loaded up a couple of 64 GB cards, and then wound up concentrating on three games (which I play mainly one at a time.)

I kind of knew this would happen, too. Happened with the GBA, PSP and NDS. Every console that I hack, I lose almost all interest in. When you have to buy every single game, you value them a lot more.

Lately, when I DO play my 3DS, it's only for a few brief minutes. I'll play a game for five minutes, get bored, switch to another, get bored, then go back to my PS3 or my PS Vita to play games that I actually paid for.

No clue why this happens.

Kind of.

Was pretty excited for multi-rom, but lost interest in playing 3DS games at the moment. Multi-rom came out, was pretty excited, played some Mario Kart and that's it.

But really, it's mainly because things are different than several months ago. When I go back to playing my 3DS I'll be glad that multi-rom is there.

I also hacked my psp,3ds,ds,wii,xbox,ipad,android and iphone but then i dont play the games i just download dozens of games and i leave them there.

Because when buy something u have the motivation to play it because it wasnt free like u earned the right to play that game when u pirate it u know u didnt pay for it so don't have that drive or motivation to play because u know u got it for free and didnt earn it.

That sounds exactly like me.

I use mine just as much as when it was single rom.

Main difference multi rom has brought me is, I play a lot more puzzle/rhythm games, where I can play for 15-20min, try to beat a score etc, before going on to a more story driven game. Before I wouldn't bother with anything that was a 15-20min play as I couldn't be bothered to keep switching sd cards, so stuck only to the stuff I would play for at least an hour every time.

For MultiROM to be useful the 3DS would first need to have some gaems that are worth anyone's interest. ;O;

This, all day. I counted, and on my 32GB microSDHC card, 9 of the 33 games I have on it are Mario titles. 10, if you count Yoshi's New Island.

I would sacrifice at least two toes for a sequel to The World Ends With You.

I wouldn't say that's true. Even when I have paid games it takes me a while to play them, some never. I had Luigi's Mansion since that promotion in April but still haven't played it, for example. Now that multi-rom is out it should be easier for me to get into.

But yeah, with paid games, I still had trouble with my 3DS, am having trouble with my vita, and with Steam on PC especially.

I think it's because some of us get addicted to HAVING the hacked items than actually using them. It just feels cool to be able to do something on a device that it wasn't originally intended to do. I have a hacked Wii with a bunch of emulators and I have hardly touched it since I set it up. I even set my PS2 up to load games off my computer over a network cable. I used it to play maybe 2 games not even all the way through and now it's in a drawer somewhere. Oh god... am I a hack hoarder?!

In a similar post i said this and then I'll say it again.
Commitment is the key, and for lots of people paying =s commiting.

On a serious note, the reason why people pay less attention to the games they pirated in comparison to those they paid for is simply the fact that with legit games they've made a conscious decision to pay with their hard-earned money and they expect to derrive an equivalent of that sum in entertainment, hence all the disappointments hurt tenfold, but all the joys feel tenfold as well. When you don't pay for the game, the game carries itself on its merits, when you do pay for the game, you subconsciously look for a justification of your purchase - it's all in the human psyche.

I never would have bought a Gateway if they hadn't have come out with mutlirom. There's also the drag & drop factor, instead of having to use that win32imager thingy.

I never paid for The World Ends With You, but it stands as one of the finest gaming experiences that anyone could have. I would totally purchase a sequel if one came out.

I DID purchase the newest Ace Attorney game, though, and do not regret it at all, even though it is now available to put on a Gateway card. It feels good to support the developers of games that you truly enjoy. I have bought at least 30 retail PS3 and PS Vita games, too, with few regrets.

Hell, I don't play those, either. I still have my copy of Final Fantasy XIV that I got during last year's Black Friday sale at GameStop in its original wrapper, unopened.

Interesting thread,
Its true that if I buy some game, then I am going to finish it even there are some very boring or hardly passing parts, if I download it then sometimes I ll delete it,

3DS games are very expensive, and even I want some, I rather buy PS+ or some game to my Vita, flash card is must have thing
