Need to Know: 3DS

Ok so I didn't want to make a topic about this because I'm sure there are many.

Anyways I have been saving up scraps lately to get a 3DS. So far I got 95 bucks but that's not the point.

I honestly want to get to know what I should focus on getting. By that I mean from the color to the games to the accessories.

Stuff I'm interested in.
Cosmo Black (I always get systems in black if possible but if you recommend Blue or Red tell me why and not because it's cool. TBH I think the red one is a little pinkish correct me if I'm wrong.

Games.
Maro 3D Land
Mario Kart 7
Zelda Ocarina
Dead or Alive Dimensions
Resident Evil (forgot what it's called)
NFS The Run
Spider Man Edge of Time

I have a bigger game list but I just listed that much to see whats more popular and worth the money. No matter what though I'm getting Mario Kart 7 first because I want something that lasts.

Anyway tell me what I should do.


I am very tight on money so I figure get the system first. I won't open it up until I get a game plus I want to make a special videos.


Eh... Who knows how long I'll save up the other half of the money. You figure 90 more because tax makes it 180. Leftover money is for screen protectors or a case definitely I'm a accessory type.

Both the Mario games you listed, as well as LoZ if you want some enhanced OoT action. Avoid the shitty Spider-Man game. You're likely better off avoiding NFS since you're getting Mario Kart. I know one is more a serious racer, while the other is an arcade racer, but NFS on handhelds has a tendency to be terrible. If it proves otherwise, go for it. Otherwise, I feel you'll get your fill of racing off MK7 alone.

For color, it doesn't matter. Get the color you like the most.

I got black just because it looks better with the custom skins I get for my handhelds.

As for games, my list of best to least best is

-SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked (I sunk 100 hours into it and didn't finish everything I could have, but I finally pried myself away from it for some PSP games)
-Mario Kart 7 (...it's Mario Kart)
-Ocarina of Time (always fun to sink some time into)
-Starfox 64 (what can I say, i'm a sucker for this game. Pretty decent time sink)
-Super Mario 3D Land (fun, but wont last you very long)

That's all I can suggest for now.
I would highly suggest not getting NFS. For the simple fact it's terrible on consoles, thus is likely a morbid piece of steaming shit on 3DS

Also get Tales of the Abyss (either now (EU), or in Feb if you're in NA). Easily going to be my #1 3DS game, and a huuge amount of content to play through in it.

I understand. I have a bigger list of games but I listed whatever was on the top of my head. As for the games I understand it might be shitty but I didn't say I'd pay retail for NFS. Obviously down the line the games out now will be cheaper.

As for color I guess I'm gonna get black or red because blue is out of stock. I hear the red one is cool so I might bet on that. I get black colored systems but to this day the smudges bother me like hell... I was also thinking of skinning however that's if stores have skins I can't shop online.

if you want the sexiest (not skinned) 3DS possible, get a black 3DS and a red metal case.
I have it and it looks awesome, even without the custom gel skin I have on it.

The Flame Red 3DS is anything but pinkish.
If i had to describe it, it would be Shiny Red for the bottom part, while the top part looks like dark red glass.

Hard to describe, but it looks infinitely better in person than on pictures.
