I think that if you were going to make the rubber things red, the buttons should have been red too.

Haha I bought it both. The previous one from the same seller it was the polar opposite of the one I currently have and it stuffed up some how. I didn't like the red buttons. Kinda looked tacky. I'm happy with this one

That SP looks really nice. It's a bit funny with the red rubber things, but the red outside shell with black inside is nice..

What other GBA stuff are you getting for your collection? The original GBA did have some pretty cool colours available, but I fell in love with the white one personally

Haha well I didn't do the customisation. Came like that I think its fine. I've never owned a SP or a Micro. DSL was my first ever console.
Just GBA games, nothing special. I just bought around 60 games and I think I got the best out of the bunch. Got some accessories but nothing special. I may buy a Super Robot Wars faceplate for micro...maybe lol. I do have a list posted in the GBA threads. I also plan to take a picture of all my GBA stuff together with my 3DS and some minor NDSL and DSXL lol

The Super Robot Wars faceplate? That is quite ambitious . I hear they are supposed to be a hard find these days.

The DSXL next to a GBM is quite the site. When my XL arrived a few months back I compared the size and just couldnt beleive it. Nintendo seemed to go from having the small style handheld to the bigger one

Not that I suppose piracy or anything, but if you do enjoy GBA games an EZ-Flash cart might be a nice addition (For legal backups of course!). It is interesting to see how flash-cards have evolved even over the 2 generations. I never had an SP but sometimes I look back and wish I did get one when they were new. I love my micro so much, it doesn't get played alot but it is a must for when I have to take flights overseas

Yeah they are. I'm waiting on a friend to see if he will be able to sell me one. If not I'll just go get one from ebay and be done with LOL I say the Super Robot Wars since it will suit my silver Micro.
I'm tempted just to buy a FF micro and just take that faceplate off it XD
All I see is 399 for FF Micro or a 500 for a Mother one which I think doesn't look great. I find it like the Pikachu faceplate lol
Yes but I love the Micro more! I got sick of the XL when I realised I should stop playing it or I wont enjoy playing my other handhelds with smaller displays.
Nah I'm mostly over using flashcarts. I got frustrated with the Pirate Syndrome and being unable to enjoy the games because 4-5 games would come out at once and I play them all without finishing it. So I stopped since mid last year when 3DS launched.
There are still new SPs out there! Just ebay them XD

Here's a silly question. If I bought a Japanese FF/Mother3 micro, is that still playable with AU/EU/US carts? Will there be any Japanese characters (I hope the load screen isn't in Japanese lol)

Everything Nintendo handheld prior to the DSi is region-free.
And if there are load screens, they would be in whatever language the game is programmed in.
(If, for some reason, load screens were in Japanese, well it's only the load screens.)

Mother 3, it looks great compared to the overstyled looking final fantasy faceplate. I have had many chances to buy these over the years and never thought they would be selling for so much. I remember mother 3 sets for 129, it brings a tear to my eye.

Yeah I'm starting to see there's too much going on on the FF micro but its nice to have it. It's a nice blue micro for starters lol

Black and red.. I can get behind that. Almost everything I own has the same scheme.
