I live in am European Region, so i set it naturaly to my Birthlanguage.
The Ak2i ( Acekard 2i) doesnt work, error message, i figured it out how to use it after reading some posts.
You need to set the Language to English an it boots the Ak2i without error. The Region is not important!
The Browser for the Internet is not pre-installed and needs to be downloaded free from the DSi Shop.
For getting a DSi i received 1000 Points for Linking up my Club Nintendo Account with the DSi.
I had to update the Firmware online to get it working with the DSi Shop and its now 1.3E.
Trying my old Module M3 Real gets an error message to read the manual (still had to try it myself)
What i find positive for the new DSi:
- Bigger Display
- Better Sound
- Integrated SD Card
What i find negative:
- Region Lock
- The Crosskey has annoying clicksounds when pressing
- WEP only for connection 1-3 (advanced are free for wpa and so on)
- Annoying Music in Menu and unable to turn it off
- Setting Language to English starts Games when they use the Systems Language in English as well.
- No support for the old Gamecards (ok we all knew it, but its still sad.)
The Cam and Sound edit tools are toys and not the burner.
Maybe for new Games but when you take pictures you use a real cam.
Its sad that there is no new DSi Game out to have an real impression.
The Shop and the Point System is expensive. After checking, there are only trash posted to buy atm.
Maybe we can use the Integrated SD Card for other things
For thoose who already have an DS Lite, there is no must to switch over to an DSi.
