Movie Review

Hey all it is fathers day and I was able to go and check out two movies last night, I saw both don't mess with the Zohan and the happening, while both were two very different movies, I like them, Zohan was very funny and happening good suspense, I think if I was to say which was better I would go with Zohan, the happening had some bad plot holes and was not what I thought it would be, but what did you think; did you see a movie lately was it good was a crap. let me know I love movies I am a movie whor. thanks.

I saw Horton Hears a Who in the discount theater last week. It was okay, I guess but I felt kind weird as I kept thinking of HiroShima while sitting there and I couldn't laugh.

Horton Hears a Who--the original story book, according to one of the Biographies I read several years ago about Dr. Suess, was inspired by the vast destruction in HiroShima that occurred during World War 2, when the US bombed HiroShima, Japan with nuclear bombs. It was a terrible tragic thing, and when the Doc visited that place soon afterward he was moved by the disregard for the lives lost in that bombing and wrote Horton Hears a Who.

The Who's represent, of course, the little people, who are so often overlooked and mistreated simply because other people cant perceive them as having a worth in this world.

If you read through many of Dr.Suess works--not the beginner books but the stories, you will find them deeply rooted in morals and encouraging understanding and kindness toward our fellows.

I've watched like 8 movies in last 4 weeks; Zohan was the most recent one and it wasn't that bad - take out crotch shots and jokes.

After being extremely disappointed with myst and cloverfield, I'm avoiding the happening.
The entire genre has caught up with very annoying type of plot unfolding, it's like producers are intentionally making the movies anti-fun.

I have to say the mist left a bad taste in my mouth, also cloverfield was ok i thought.

I actually complained about Mist on GBATemp before, and I learned original novel ended like that too.. (And the author will write like dozen spinoff books dealing with what happened to somebody else at somewhere else )

I think Cloverfield was too focused on the characters. The camera guy did his best to avoid taking shots of the beast because it was poorly rendered. I didn't actually get nausea but it was bad enough to induce nausea to some people. That alone makes Cloverfield fail.
People don't want to pay to get sick.
