Man I love bonfire night

Collectively (including the Mrs relatives) we had about £300 worth of fireworks, most were crappy due to the government banning the good ones but some were awesome.

Bonefire was cool, dunno why but I love burning stuff...not sexually of course I'm not that kinky. One cool moment was when a seemingly dead Catherine Wheel went off again and I was running away from it...fun.

It rained but I had some cider so I didn't mind plus the bonfire pretty much dried us off instantly.

I was gonna post pics of boobs to make this worthwhile of a read but....I ate them?

the pictures or the boobs? LOL

import your fireworks from the Czech republic -> may not be that legal or safe but guaranteed fun!

Bonfire night was crap here. It was mostly just a bunch of chavs running around throwing bangers. There was a couple of good displays but there wasn't even a proper bonfire in the park this year.

For an un-informed American, what is bonfire night a celebration of? Fire? Or is there a historical basis for it?

Saw a half-hour display put on locally by our local council with my girlfriend and some friends. Was awesome :)

Bonfire Night was really quiet over here, I stayed in but didn't hear as many fireworks going off as usual. Although one of our neighbours seems to be a day late cause there's some going off now while I'm typing. I'm wondering if everyone's waiting for the weekend.

I think nowadays its more for fun, I've hardly seen any Guys made at all (we made our annual James Blunt one). Also its an excuse to burn some clutter.

Bonfire Night?

What Bonfire? Oh yeah that tiny one just near me? Nahhh that wasn't a Bonfire.

This year sucked for me. There were hardly any fireworks.

*Sighs* If I didn't have a dog it would be fun to have my own fireworks to set off and run away from.

Hooray for Ohio being one of the 11 states that bans fireworks!
(Although we can still buy them, lol...)

[/quote]Interesting. I'm going to petition to start up a James Blunt night over here as well.
