As you might know, the stereotype of Indonesia is uneducated, slower Asia blah, blah, blah. It's not true! We create some of the best people in the world! For example, B.J. Habibie, Ibu Sud, and Marie Thomas (the first female OBGYN doctor in Indonesia BTW). Their reason for success is, you've guessed it, language. When they were first born, Indonesia was still under Dutch control, and us the Pribumi (natives), need to learn how to speak Dutch because that's the only way to get a good education and be respected in the community. B.J. Habibie once stayed in the Netherlands to study machinery, and robotics. So, without further ado, let's get into it.
- Kukche Languages (Ahmad Yani, Bogor Selatan)
This is a language center in Bogor that's reserved for the elites. No, I mean it. Each course costs about Rp. 17,800,000,- (which is about $1,268.91) but they teach you well.
Their selection of languages isn't a lot, but there are plenty of choices to choose from! From business German, to travel Arabic.
- El Rahma Education Centre (Jl. Semeru, Bogor Tengah)
This isn't just a language course, but this is a learning centre/computer science university. It offers classes from computing to arts, and they offer classes for people that are in junior high (SMP). And, it's way much cheaper than Kukche, with prices ranging from Rp. 250,000,- ($17.82) to Rp. 400,000,- ($28.51).
- Pusat Pelatihan Bahasa IPB (IPB Language Training Centre, Bogor)
This is also a university but only specializes in language. Most people who study here are either preparing to go to college in another country or to prepare for their TOEFL, DELF, and/or N5/N4/N3.
I don't know about pricing, but they have BIPA (Indonesian for Non-Native Speakers)
-OPERA (Obrol Perancis (Chat in French), Cimanggu, Bogor)
This one is owned by my mother's friend who has studied (Belgian) French in Belgium
I don't know about prices, but they do have a youtube channel in Indonesian.
So, that's all the language training centers I can list! Still interested in beseeching Indonesia now?
