I thought it wouldn't get any worse after the last splash screen in Krita.
Then, I hit up that Terminal to update my copy of Lubuntu from 19.04 to 19.10 (I was expecting to upgrade to 20.04 but I wasn't able to do that.)
I open Krita to remake an character asset from Battle For BFB (or more specifically The Power Of Two, it was PDA) to see this:

It is LEGITIMATELY WORSE than the previous art, and it's even MORE appalling as a professional anime hater. At the very least, the previous art had the mascot robot squirrel look like a robot squirrel!
I also found out that I can disable the splash by using the tag --no-splash, but it's inconvenient to have to open the Terminal every time I want to sketch stuff and hope not to lose my train of thought of what I was drawing in the first place and place more stress on my computer's meager 4GB of DDR3 RAM opening up Chrome and heading back to reddit to remembet what I was trying to draw.
