Job.

Im under 16, so I do a paper run job 4 days a week, for $120 a month, not much, but you have to start somewhere.

What I'm pissed about is that I work hard, for my money, which I can't spend. I get it.. My parents want me to save up my money... But I'm no good at this freakin' delayed gratification. What the hell am I saving for?!
They say I can't get a card until I'm 16, I can't even have a taste of what I'm making.. I wanted to buy a psp, but they wouldn't let me... I'll have like 3k by the time I can legally work part time, at the rate I'm going at...

Do they think I'm going to go apeshit like my brother and spend all my money?! I just wanted this one thing, but they wouldn't let me have it...

You're lucky. You're under 16, like me, and can get a job.
Everyone here is too lazy to even function to get a newspaper outside their front door.

My other brother is telling me to make some sort of compromise.. Like get what I want for my birthday, I guess it's sitting and waiting now.. But I dunno..

Wow, really surprised at how quick blog threads get replied to..

There seems to be a fond interest for jobs on forums like this because most users are 17+.

If I were you, I'd save half of it, and spend half of it. Maybe you can ask your mother if she's okay with that.

Time to go on strike the way I see It. Let your parents know that you won't be delivering newspapers until you get your PSP, job be damned.

Why do something violent? Do it peacefully! :yaypeace:

Dude, you'll thank your mom when you have some cash saved. If I were you, I would talk to your mom about saving half from each check and spending the rest.

Maybe your parents could do a compromise like you save 50% or 60% of your money but you get to spend the remaining amount. That is what my parents did with me. Sure, I complained that I had to work twice as hard as my friend across the street but then I had something like $12K saved when I graduated from college (1989 dollars) that helped me live on my own.

Save half the money, doesn't mean you HAVE to spend the rest but make sure you save half of it.
