So my best friend created an event on Facebook about going to Six Flags. Not a lot of people are going to go to Six Flags because 1) it's too far and 2) it's too expensive. He kept on pestering me to go to Six Flags on Facebook saying "i see, you just dont want to hang out with me" and "a real homie would go no matter what". I just kept saying "no" to his request. But, I got fed up with his pestering, and pulled the "guilty card" on him. I told him that money's tight in my house right now, and if he was a real friend, he would have stopped at the first "no". Or at least set an event where everyone would be able to go to, like a BBQ at a park. (Keep in mind, he's my best friend) And like any other good friend, he felt embarrassed about pushing me too far to reveal my problems to him. I felt embarrassed to reveal it to him because I know that he will start offering me things like money and such. He felt real bad for saying that i wasn't a "real homie" and such, and I told him that I didn't want to explain myself because he's going to start to be generous towards me. So he decides to change it to a local water park and insists that he'll pay for my share. I'll told him that I'll go to the water park, but I'm planning to pay for myself.
I know now that he can't sleep because of the "guilty card" that I just pulled on him, and I feel really bad for having to explain myself. I know a lot of people will say "You shouldn't have to feel bad because he brought upon himself", but I really owe this guy, and I just can't help but regretting that I had to tell him my "household drama". I know him, and he's going to start treating me differently now... but I hope it doesn't conflict with our friendship...
