good bye hydro

i have a betta myself (male) and its been 6 years (they usually dont live that long) i made sure he mated with a female before he dies, cuz i know its going to be soon. i can see his fins become really wrinkly, when i first got him, sharp as an edge, now hes become big and very inactive. i have a feeling he'll go sometimes too. im gonna miss that betta, cuz its been 6 years.............hes gonna go sometime soon...........

I'm sorry, I feel bad for you and all, but its a fish... If it was a dog that you could connect with, like play, sleep (for you sick tempers out there, I'm talking actually sleeping) and do many things with I would feel really sorrowful because I hate losing dogs, even cats for that matter. But a fish... It swims in a bowl, I have had like 5 or 6 fish in my life, I have never connected with them because you can't. They're in water... I just flush them and think about how long they have lived.

The fish that I had that lived the longest was 5 years, my brother had his betta fish for 3 years.

well i really connected with him my first fish lived 8 years it was a gold fish

Mine was a gold fish also, lived for 5 years as I said. All I did was feed him and junk lol, it was something to do with my boredom.

so he died at 9:00 sharp well hat when i say him dead i saw hime alaive last at um... 8:54 still on his side but was movide his fins
so i called my parents to come to the bathroom to say a few words only my dad came but at least i have somebody there so i said a few words then flush i cried alot now the empty space in my room where the bowl had been in driving me insane but ill be ok

so daddy said i could game another fish but i said NO! not intill after our vacation to lforida in decembre becasue nobody will be here to clean the tank or feed him and i also wanna save my money to get my next betta a 3 gallon tank and a heater and some night plants and suff so i will just have to wait if i was him to be happy

hydro greeted me every morning by doing a circle in place before i gave him food and he had such a personality you would never belive he was a great friend even tho he didnt say much becasue he is a fish he was there to lisin but it even looked like he was lisining becasue whic ever side of the ttank i was one he would follow me and just look intill i stoped talking which i found very cute. and he was just an overal good pal

he was a very enegritic fish

so a few days ago he became very still like didnt move 1 bit jsut came up fo air the back down didnt touch his food i got super worried and chenged his water every day to keep the heat u didnt help (i didnt have a heater) i was very sad so last night he passed away

Very sorry to hear this, man...

This reminded me of my ol' Sharky. He was a very beautiful blue fighting fish. It died because of my irresponsibility. I really liked him a lot. Whenever I put my finger on the bowl he always did that funny mouth movements lol. But sadly he died because I forgot to fed him. On the day he died I was about to feed him but then I saw him afloat. Very said at that day. I kinda cried because I bought him for a science project and I really got a high mark for it.

On the second though, I'm thinking of getting a fish again, because I miss having one.
