GBAtemp Tour '08

Bonjour tout le monde,
I've mentionned this before in a post and it seemed to draw attention. Thought I'd dedicate an entire topic to the subject :)

So, me and Shaun(j66) are going to the USA for about 3 weeks. We'll be in New York City on thursday.
Here's where we're going to be this whole time:

- April 17th - 23rd: New York City
We'll be meeting mthrnite, SpikeyNDS and his wife Mikki, and possibly VVoltz who lives close to the NYC area!
We've planned a lot of stuff, we want to see things like... well, the must-see's like the statue of liberty, empire state building, etc.

- April 23rd - 26th: San Francisco
We have a chance to meet mr Urza Antimeta on the 23rd, if our respective schedules allow it.
We'll be doing cool stuff there (Golden Gate Bridge! yay) and on the last day we'll be renting a car, so we can drive to the other cities.

- April 26th - 28th: Santa Cruz
My original purpose for this trip was to meet a friend of mine who lives in Santa Cruz. We'll only be staying for 2 days though :P
I don't know if there's much to do in Santa Cruz but my friend will take us to cool places. She goes to uni there, and she knows LA too...

- April 28th - May 2nd: Los Angeles
On the 28th we'll be leaving early in the morning from Santa Crzu to drive down to Los Angeles. We'll be driving alongside the ocean.. awesome road trip.
I believe there's plenty of things to do in LA... unfortunately we don't know anyone near LA so I don't think we will be meeting anyone there.

- May 1st: trip to Las Vegas
In the middle of our stay at Los Angeles, we'll leave on a road trip to Las Vegas. It's not so far, and we can't go to the USA without seeing Las Vegas...
I don't think we'll be going to any casino (money & time wasting activity IMO) or maybe just to have a quick look.

We'll go back to New York City on May 2nd, stay for a night there, then fly back to Europe. We'll be in Europe on the 4th.
This should be fun. If anyone wants to meet us we can give details as to where we'll be staying.

Haha, this sounds like a great idea. I was on long island for the past 3 1/2 years off and on (college) and I went to NYC only about...3-4 times to actually hang out. I didn't see any of the iconic things like the statue of liberty or ellis island and such. But I rode the subways, gave plenty of homeless my change, and saw some awesome breakdancing and art in washington square park. Now I'm about as far north as you can get from NYC while still being in NY. Basically in canada here...(eh?)

I mostly went to shows and hung out with my native new yorker friends who knew what was going down at any given time.
Ohh man, I remember the first time I went to new york city with my friends from maine....
my friend ian and I found a camera on the sidewalk and it ended up being filled with pictures of hot girls making out...true story. By the end of the night my friend ian had gotten plastered and wandered off in the middle of the night...taking the camera with him. By the time he came back he had met some random girl on the street and got his knob bobbed...taking pictures all along.


I can only hope you enjoy NY as much as my friend ian did =)

and montreal is one of my favorite places to go recently...last time i was there with 4 friends we ended up getting a 9 person 2 blunt rotation going on the streets in broad daylight...surreal.

Westside, Soon enough I will be able to do stuff like that, I just finished my classes and im starting my On field training Monday! So in like 1 month I won't be a studient anymore! ohh yeah!

Money with a real job for the first time in my life =)

PS: Oh and guys, girls are hot in Montréal =)

No one here lives in L.A? You could visit me if you decide to go to UCLA but I'll probably be in class or studying the whole week (midterms).

well, we have a tight schedule really. Our hotels are booked, and our roadmap has been ready for weeks now...
there's no way we can visit another state, which is a shame because we probably won't come back to the US in a long time :(
there's just so many people to meet here, so many things to see and to do, ...

Come on people that live close is not so hard to catch a bus and go!
Make an effort, it is really worth it!

Costello and Shaun are amazingly friendly people!. It was kinda scary when Shaun pushed that old lady off the ferry but since no one saw it it was alright, almost the same when Costello delivered those bags of white powdered sugar he was carrying on one of his bags. :rolleyes:
































j/k both of them are exemplary human beings!
