Fixing a broken W100i - Part 1

I found this phone few years ago on street while it was raining. Sony Ericsson W100i, a very good brick which has walkman features.
I took it home, dried battery and components, charged it up and fired it up.
The phone had a simlock from Orange, I'm going to figure out later how to take it out. It also had a Orange SIM card that i needed to break since people kept calling me.
Later, phone stopped displaying image on screen.

Today, I finally took it apart [sort of]
Found out that Main PCB is ripped so I need to order a new one. I also need a new screwdriver since mine snapped when i tried to unscrew those damn screws near PCB [They just don't want to move, but i will not give up.]
The fact that this phone survived in a giant pond of water without even turning off surprises me. Not even a single part has been touched from water damage. Number pad also works, battery didn't explode yet so I'm fine. I also need to order a new charger since I don't have a charger for this thing.

I'll report back in 2 weeks when i will get my Main PCB shipped.

Never a phone however I did find a black ds lite in some mud a few years ago. I was walking towards the barber shop and I saw it just laying there in the rain. I picked it up and put it in my pocket and didn't check on it until a few hours later. To my surprise it worked not only that it also had New Super Mario Bros. in it with a complete save. The next day I got a charger from KMart and to this day is still works.( had to change the battery once as my mother uses it daily)

I wonder how long it was left in that puddle, water won't necessarily damage low voltage electronics because the electricity can't pass through the water very well (not 100% sure on this, I'm not in EE), but it does increase the risk of something shorting, and if left wet for long enough (or if the water is not dried completely) it can cause corrosion which if it gets bad enough will premature death.
The battery's probably fine, batteries are hermetically sealed anyway, and even if shorted the protection circuit built in to most lithium batteries will kick in and prevent it from overdischarging or discharging at too high of a current so in theory it should take a lot to cause a lithium battery to explode unless it's just faulty.

I found an iPod Touch in the middle of the road last year. Almost got ran over picking it up lol. Got the password wrong enough times for it to show the Apple ID, emailed them and met up with them the next day to return it. Turns out it belonged to a 5 y/o and she was awfully sad when she realised she didn't have it. So yeah.

I wish i knew for how long it was in it.
Probably mid-rain [Rain started 30 minutes before i found that phone]
