My pet rat just died.

I miss him so much. I don't want him to be dead. He had just made it though the 30 hour mark, the veterinarian said he would probably have made it if he survived 24 hours, but when I was feeding him, I kind of knew he wouldn't last the night.

He was so sick though, i don't understand if I knew, I shouldn't be as sad right? But yet I am. I kind of knew he was dying buy I still feel so sad

My mom never allowed me to have pets, and I kinda understand why...

I have a lot of rodents as pets I love each one.I've had to bury a lot of them and it has started to get to me, it gets a lot harder each time.

I'm sorry to hear about your rat, smile72. I, too, know what it's like to get emotionally attached to a pet. I have had multiple rodents myself and have loved each and every one of them. I'm sure your rat is happy to have been loved by you.

No, I've decided to stop replacing the pets because I never forget the old ones, and when the new ones go, it just hurts even more.

sorry to hear that. but,
i envy you that you feel hurt when you lose something close. my favorite pet cat is missing and i miss hugging him but it didn't bother me that much now.

3 days after i last saw him, i already assumed he's dead or found someplace else. and i gave up waiting for him to come home and already got used to not seeing him everyday, sometimes even forget he existed.

i cut bonds immediately if it'll bring me nothing else but pain.

I feel for you. I lost one of my guinea pigs of two years. But I am raising her babies to keep her memory alive. (:

It's done he's been buried, I buried him a couple of days ago but I didn't feel like posting about it. My mom has also been crying for the past couple of days.
