Oh Cartoon Network, what did they do to you?

Remember when Cartoon Network was good? With all the kick-ass shows like Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog? Now they have fucking shit on, like Problem Solverz, Gumball, and other dumb crap. From what I read, CN had good shows on in the 90s and from experience, the early 2000s. What are your thoughts on Cartoon Network?

the only moderately ok show is adventure time, but i never bother watching the channel anymore, with half of their programming not being cartoons

I'm 19 and I watched Cartoon Network and Kids WB from the mid 90's til I think 2004, after that it started getting lame to me.

I think the show was still on up to a couple months ago.

I stopped watching near the end of 2009 when they refused to air Naruto Shippuden. I used to watch Cartoon Network EVERYDAY when I was in elementary school but after I started middle school, they aired lame shows that were hardly interesting to watch. I can tell that Cartoon Network is only getting lamer and lamer. Nothing good about it anymore.

I'm pretty sure they lost viewers when they took Toonami off...I miss watching Dragon Ball Z/GT, Naruto, and all the other goodies.

Fixed.

Either way, once One Piece and Zatch Bell left and the only shows on Toonami were shows like Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, and IGPX, I knew it was over. I miss the good ol' weekday Toonami.

I watched Naruto all the time when I was 8-ish. I also watched One Piece whenever it was on.

EDIT: And I LOVED Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

I miss Zatch Bell. I think I only watched up to the show where Zatch learned the spell Zakerga or something.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX was awesome too, always liked seeing Jaden play his Elemental Heroes.

One Piece left earlier than the other shows. They had weird English dubs.

Yu Yu Hakusho...I remember so little from it.

Never knew about Rurouni Kenshin.

I stopped watching Cartoon Network a couple of years ago. Now if my nieces and I want to watch good cartoons, we stick to Boomerang.

I though it was an okay show, but it literally cured me of a serious condition I had, so I owe it my life (not even joking).

Actually, her name is Dee Dee. It was spelled out somewhere in the show at some point, if I remember correctly.

Holy crap I forgot about Time Squad and I am Weasel.

While I will agree that Problem Solverz is, without a doubt, the utmost worst thing ever to be shown on any network since the introduction of the television set, I'm a little fond of Gumball. I was pleasantly surprised to find it quite charming in its varied potpourri of an art style, as well as its inexplicable but immediately-noticeable charm. It's certainly not a masterpiece, but I've found it to be as accessible and charming as I used to find the older stuff on Cartoon Network to be, which is an admittedly rare occurrence for me. :P

However, to each their own, of course.

I was too poor/cheap for cable so all I had was KidsWB and FoxKids/FoxBox. I remember waking up at 7AM on a Saturday, just to watch Jackie Chan adventures. Shit was real. I loved Pokemon, and stopped watching right when the series began the ruby/sapphire series. Yu-Gi-Oh was the shit, and I saw every episode, from Duelist Kingdom to the end of Battle City. I stopped when they made the Dragon thingy. I loved my childhood cartoons, but now... KidsWB is now CW4Kids, along with FoxBox to 4Kids. They started airing shitty cartoons. So yeah... cartoons in general doesn't seem as good as I remembered. Maybe it's because I'm older now(17), or they just suck ass in general.
