If you want something more mature, you could go for Mushi-shi or Seirei no Moribito. There are plenty of good series out there. FLCL, Basilisk, Dennou Coil, Elfen Lied, Ergo Proxy, Genshiken, Ghost in the Shell, Karas, Last Exile, Noein, Host Club, Paranoia Agent, Planetes, Red Garden, Saikano, Samurai Champloo, Trigun. Don't whine when you have just watched the 0.0001% of the available series. And everything else they said too, watch Haruhi Suzumiya and I mean WATCH IT, IT'S AN ORDER. Lucky Star, also. And Azumanga Daioh. If you don't mind some weird japanese randomness you could give Gag Manga Biyori a shot. I found it exhilarating, but maybe it's just me. And if you don't mind the fanservice, watch Puni Puni Poemi, it's random and awesome. And Excel Saga too. If you want something cute and relaxing, watch Kamichu! or Pita Ten. REC is also a good choice. If you like gore, blood and horror, watch Gantz, Higurashi or Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari. As you can see, there's no end to them. Just choose your favorite genre, and you have a plethora of series to choose from. Don't be lazy and search instead of starting whiny threads.

I 5'th the Cowboy Bebop thing. Also, Lupin III i've enjoyed the hell out of. And Initial D another fun one. A lot of my Anime has come from Adult Swim so i can't say much (thats where i found i enjoyed Lupin, which i then learned, Miyazaki had his hands in a lot of those episodes!).

As for randomness of other anime to watch, dunno if you've ever seen it but The Professional: Golgo 13 is from '77 i believe, and is one of the most amazing spy thrillers evar. So, its not a series, but still damned good!

Naruto is the biggest load of shit since ever, and D. Gray man is BORRRINGGGG. Oh, and by the way, I've read 120 chapters of the manga, and 50 eps of D.gray man anime. Stopped, because it was 1. Anime was in filler heaven. 2. The story in the manga WASN'T FUCKING ENDING 3. too long. 4. Nothing really new after 50 fucking episodes. The plot is still majorly the same, and nothing greatly new.

If you like those shounen anime, be my guest, and I won't even stop you. BUT, if you think those two shit are better than most of the things mentioned here, then your intelligence must be low, or you're the 60% of anime watchers that think everything is awesome.

It's a show full of plot holes. I still watch it for the non-ending LOLs, and how everything is a massive (but hilarious) trainwreck.

It's DAMN entertaining, but to be regarded as a good show, it won't happen. Too many problems with the plot, and where the show is actually going right now.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn is so underrated. It's funny and has fight scenes mixed in. Definately worth watching. I better catch up on the anime
