What to get and a question.

I'm trying to decide whether to get MVC3 or Portal 2 for the PS3 as I don't have any games for it really. :mellow:

What would u guys suggest?


And question unrelated to this, does anyone know of any good themes for a hacked 4.2 wii and how to install them?

MvC3 is also good. If you like games like Street Fighter, you should give it a whirl.

No idea about your second question though.

Left the wii scene 2 years ago when I bricked my wii. :(

Actually, getting Portal for PS3 also entitles me getting the PC version as well. Which I could give someone.

okay you clearly don't get my point,
DOWNLOAD portal 2 for free, to see if you like it, AFTER that, buy it for ps3.

EDIT: Or just simply download it for the pc for free, and play online with that, and buy MVC3, that way u have both.
can't be clearer then that :ha:

Demon's souls ($20) and Valkyria chronicles ($40ish).

But anyways, Portal 2. It's a hell of a lot better. MvC3 is fun for an hour or so.

By the way you'd be hard pressed to give away the Portal 2 code. You need to link your PSN and Steam accounts on Portal 3 PS3. So it's a bit of a pain in the ass.
and Steam Support is being useless lately. 3 days and they haven't fucking answered if they can link my Steam and PSN account for me since I "don't have a PS3". (I do, but it's modded...and I can't play Portal 2).

VC should still be around $20 as well. I picked it up for that a year ago, and it's on Amazon now for $25 new.

Aside from that, Portal 2 most likely. Although if you're into 2D fighters, MvC3 might last longer for you. It all comes down to personal preference, really.

o.o 40$ used for Valkyria Chronicles? I bought it brand new at Gamestop for $20 last year...EB Games must be trying to rip people off in Canada.

@OP: Portal 2 is the better buy IMO. I bought MvC3 and to be honest I'm very unsatisfied with it. It was fun for the first 2 weeks but got boring quickly. I'd rather play MvC2 it has a much better roster of characters and is a lot funner to play.

According to Schphi this is all I have to do.


1. Buy PS3 version
2. make a SEPARATE ACCOUNT on your PS3 (that you won't ever use again) and link it to that someones steam account.
3. give code to that person.
4. He activates it, downloads it
5. Start up Portal 2 on Duskye's extra account on his PS3, link to person's account
6. ????
7. PROFIT!!!
8. OH, right, then Duskye logs onto his account and starts playing separately from that person lol

Yes, as Duskye said above you could have someone you trust create a dummy PSN account on their PS3. Link it to your Steam Account, and then delete the account off their PS3. (And give the password to you so that you may have it for whatever reason.) I'm sure you could get someone trustworthy here to do so if it comes to it.

@Duskye Portal 2 is so worth it. I'm just going to leave it at that.

I've played nearly everything on that list, and I would only say that half of it gave as much fun as Portal did. With Portal 2 being substantially better, it would probably trump a solid portion of that list for me.
