I evesdropped D:

Hola, fellas!

Well. Today I was eavesdropping on my mom and dad talking.
They were talking about how I plan to build a PC desktop in summer and then before Cegept (College for Quebec) get a Macbook Pro.
So, my dad said "Isn't it a waste of money to build a computer then a year later get another one?"
So my mom agreed. They knew I was only building the PC since it was cheaper than a Mac (more bang for the buck?).

So, they said in Summer I will probably be getting a 15" Macbook Pro.

I was like "Is this really happening? Why would they do this?"
But it really is happening (I think anyway).
They ARE still gonna take the money I've been saving and put it onto the Mac though, so it isn't like I am getting to keep the money my dad is funding me with.

Anyway, I'm pretty damn stocked!
You guys know me as an Apple fanboy anyway. So now I can fully be one and mock Windows without being a hypocrite.
But too be fully honest, Windows ISN'T that bad. I have no problems using it if I need to.

But I don't know why I am getting excited now. Summer isn't for more than 5 months from now....

Also, my iPod touch is really starting to show its age. It is so slow. It is like it cannot handle what i need it to do.
I am replacing it in March sometime as a birthday gift from my sister ().

That is basically it.

Peace

I'm getting a macbook(pro or air) in two years for cegep too. And I'm gonna TRIPLE boot the thing with MacOSX, Windows 7(cracked) and Linux(don't know which distro yet). Gonna be sweet...
And eavesdropping isn't a good thing to do. Use a well hidden mic and record every instant of every day in the entire house. More effective and less chances of getting caught :)

Lol in summer I'm getting a Mac Mini! :D (It's not a laptop)
And I'm gonna install Win7 on it for sure but I'll use the Mac OS for World of Warcraft to play better. :P

If you want specs you can get a better PC for cheaper
Oh well, whatever floats your boat.

They aren't so bad now, actually.
Not a gaming PC, but it's pretty good.

It's good for its size.
But that's it. :ha:

Also, pyrmon, which Pro do you think you would get out of the current line if you had to chose now?
Outta the current line I would chose the 2.4GHz i5 15", since it is still expensive at that price and going better would scare my dad off. haha

Definitely something in the 13-inch range. I want portability and battery life coupled with power. A MBP with it's 4gb of RAM and a 7 hour battery would be good.
I may get a Macbook Air. They got way better this year as this song shows: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYBhuOP1AT0...&playnext=1

Doesn't the 13-inch have 10 hours? (According to the website)
And the 15 - 17=inch have 8 - 9?

Last time I checked it was 7 hours, but that was a while back. And if it's 10 hours now then I'm even happier.

EDIT: It really is 10 hours long now!

Enjoy the laptop (if you actually get it...parents can be rather indecisive)
Never really liked apple...I'm not a fan of the closed OS and I think their products are too expensive for what they offer...
Don't get me wrong I'll give apple credit where they deserve it (They almost singlehandedly made Mp3 players popular) And I'd gladly spend a ton of money on a laptop (my current one cost $1,100 when I got it....specs are better then what I would have gotten if I got a mac

Wow I ramble too much when it comes to computers...

I really just want a mac for the build quality and the aesthetics. The design is just so... I can't describe it, but it's just compatible with what i want, I guess. The awesome battery life helps too.

Yea I could see where your coming from.....they are rather sleek and lightweight....I guess I'm just the type that rather get something a bit more rugged for a little more power...

Makes me laugh when mac fans brag about how powerful their macbook's are when pretty much every company has a high end laptop on par or surpassing the specs of them.....They should be bragging about aesthetics not specs :glare:

I already got my power machine, it's just a computer for CEGEP. But I will probably use the crap out of it even after that.
