I'm fed up with people

So, I'm going to go about this politely, since I know there are Halo-enthusiasts on GBATemp, I recently went back and bought Reach, since my Clan has been bugging me to get it again. So we're fooling around in match making and after a few games, I get back into my stride. I mean, I'm not the greatest, but I can hold my own in a Swat match. So, we get into this one room with two Lt. Colonels and a Brigadier. They pull these seemingly bullshit headshots from out of nowhere. Now, I'm not one for complaining about my own lack of skill and therefore rage quitting, but it seemed like they had some kind of aimbot or some shit.

And then it dawned on me. I'm a huge gamer. A HUGE gamer. But after thinking about how long these people have probably spent perfecting headshots, it makes me feel better that I've seen the sun, felt the love of a woman, and actually gotten laid in the last decade or so. So, who cares if I can't go 30-0 in a match? Who cares if I can't get a killing frenzy on a bunch of "n00bs"?

So, when I meet that guy that kills me in the first 2 seconds of the match, I'll be home with my girlfriend, probably getting oral sex. Who is the clear winner here?

bored is probably the best implication in this sense.

Both, especially since he has only been laid once in the last decade. I have to say though, there has been a really bad outbreak of aim bots. I had one guy get the last kill with a throwing knife to my head... when I was using a riot shield. Jumped straight to the face.

I'm confused, if you're receiving oral, why would you want to meet the guy at the same time?

Also, that's a big reason why I stopped with Halo games. The aim that some people have, is borderline impossible.

With any FPS, there are going to be the no-lifers that spend every waking moment trying to live up to MLG-worthy standards, despite MLG being fucking stupid. They're usually little kids too...My little brother, who is 13, does nothing but play Black Ops with his friends, and he's already 2nd prestige on the game (He's 4th prestige in Combat Training...Not that that really matters). Sometimes I wonder how he has less of a life than I do.

I had to laugh a little. The irony killed me. 0.0

Man this blog/thread totally reminded me of the good old days of online gaming. With the PS3 and 360, it's all shit. People take it WAY too seriously.

The last shooter that I played online, that I took absolutely serious, was SOCOM 2. [And yes, I have played newer games online]. But in SOCOM 2, even when people were milestones better than you, the way the game was set up and what not, you still had a chance. Halo 3, I took seriously sometimes, but a lot of the time, it was just me and a buddy just dicking around, having fun, playing a GAME. Because we realized that's what it was, it was a game. We didn't take it seriously or anything.

In SOCOM 2, I'll never forget the fun I had on there one night. I was laughing my ass off. We were playing this one level, and this guy joined our team. And he started saying some funny stuff, and just randomly started singing cartoon themes. And our team couldn't stand it, not in a bad way, but because they were laughing too hard. So they always ended up dying, and we decided to go into this one room, in a building, and just camp there. 2 people laying down in front with shotguns. 2 people crouching behind them with machine guns, and two people standing behind those people with pistols. And whenever somebody came in, we'd just fill their body with bullets.

Then one guy on the other team, threw a grenade in the room, right in front of us, and the funny guy on our team said "MAN YOUR GROUND! YOU ARE SOLDIERS! YOU WILL DIE FOR YOUR COUNTRY! IT MIGHT BE A DUD! SO HAVE HOPE!" We were laughing, I had tears coming down from my eyes because it was just too funny. The grenade went off, and the way we died, all of our bodies lined up like a cross. And the funny guy said "holy shit, we just got crucified, look at our bodies hahahaha". And we were just tearing up, it was too funny.

Then we started another level, he started yelling like an indian, threw flashbangs in front of us, shot up into the sky quoting yosemite sam from the buns bunny cartoons and yelling like him. Then our team couldn't stand it anymore, so they killed themselves, and the funny guy was like "TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES..." and he sounded exactly like the singing in the theme, and I decided "fuck this man, " and killed myself. It was simply too funny.

I miss those days of online shooters gaming. Now it's all serious "man fucking boot this guy" and blah blah blah. People need to realize it's a game to have fun.

If people cheat, it just makes the game un-fun for everyone else. I do think however that "funny guy" was a double agent just trying to fuck y'all up. :ninja: Hell, there were times I had that were almost exactly like that... I wonder if it was the same guy..

Too many people taking it too seriously.
Oh and most people have microphones but never say anything, except when they are shouting at the game when they die LOL.
I wish Nintendo 3DS will have talking online, it would probably be like that funny time you talked about.

We don't care if we lost, we lost 10 games straight, we didn't care, we were just having fun. Shooters nowadays though, aren't like that. If someone was being like that in a game, it'd be "man vote this [censored] out, he's not taking the game seriously."

I tried playing Black Ops with my friend, we were doing Onling Hardcore Team Death Match.
I used a Bazooka and kept killing my team.
But there's a stupid 40 second waiting screen when you kill a team mate, WTF!

In CoD you can't vote someone out. Which is what the avoid this player button is for. xD What I don't like when I actually play the game seriously is when someone just keeps running out to die. I only play serious when I am playing with my friends, who coincidentally also take it seriously then (they like their K/D penis).

oh, you're a dick.

It must really depress you to find out most FPS 'nerds' can be anyone.
Playing like 5 hours a week you can get very good at FPS pretty fast. 5 hours isn't a lot of time at all either, it's less then an hour a day.

Most of the kids I know who are great at FPS have active lives, girlfriends, and were considered the 'cool kids' in high school.
I'm pretty good myself, and i'm not socially retarded in the least.

There may be a lot of no-lifers playing FPS, but there's probably a larger ratio of people with lives doing quite well. Most no-lifers stick to MMOs.
