Shaming myself because I'm going to buy HG

I will be 72 next week. I bought HG for the Ho-Oh Figure. I have been retired for 16 years, so I have LOTS of time for games.
I play the game on my new Bronze DSiXL and AK2i (Danny Card) with my old Palkia Stylus and my new Johto Guide and Pokedex.
I use cheats, sometimes I modify cheats or hack my own.
But my little baby sister (a 65 year old PHD) is more of a gamer than I am.

So, are you still embarrassed?

You should be embarrased at the fact that you're embarrased about getting a game that you really want to buy ESPECIALLY a game that evokes nostalgia because chronological age makes no difference when you've been introduced to *whatever* at a young age. 16 IS NOTHING compared to the older folks who are enjoying their HG/SS without a care in the world of what others might think of them

I play it and everyone knows. I haven't gotten beaten up yet and everyone else is starting to play.

I also am 16, bought it and so did around 12 other people at my school.

I've got the same problem. I'm sixteen and I really wanna buy SS, but I'm embarassed since the Dutch generally think pokemon is childish.

Hell, in Germany it´s like some kind stigma, because everyone just thinks of the Anime (which is horrible in its german translation (well, which series isn´t horrible in its german translation? O.o)), laugh at you for beeing childish and goes of to watch Spongebob O.o
Well, I´m proud to say, I´m a 24 Year old German and I play Pokemon SS (when I´m not preoccupied with the Pokewalker) =)
