My 2D Digital Art assignment. Rate?

The assignment was to draw a fantasy character and this is what I came up with:

Wow its really cool, you can tell its based on Sotc but its still really good, i like how the man is kinda shocked. I also like the brush effect around the monster, really makes it pop

Drawing != Writing.

VISUAL ART IS ONLY HALF THE BATTLE.

Anyways, this looks good. I suggest your repost in the art section for greater attraction.

I know its supposed to be artsy and all, but it would probably be better with a little more detail.

@flame ~ detail...? i think it is good the way it is. it is suppose to look 2D. you can't make it too detailed or else it won't look 2D anymore.

I've always loved this type of art style, it's unpolished look and feel leaves a lot to the imagination.

It looks like something you would see in a legit art compilation of the game itself. I knew exactly what game it was within .5 seconds of seeing it.
