People complaining about price of WM+ are pissing me off

Seriously, your complaining about an accessory thats effectivly free? Nearly every game which requires it comes with one! Buy one game, you have 1 automatically. Buy another, suddenly you can play 2 players. At the moment no games require 4, but hey, if you want more, they're only 20-30 bucks! In aus I picked up two for $60, a game here is $100, what the hell are you all complaining about?

Oh I know, cause we all pirate games, we don't end up buying games which come with them! Damn, silly me I didn't remember that, Nintendo should be more considerate. They should have mailed out little post cards to us all, asking if we had hacked Wii's and needed some WM+'s, and then they should have sent Reggi over, who could have done a song and dance number at every door, hand over the motion plus, and wish us all a good day while handing out free CycloDS units as he skips along back to the land of fairy floss and candy from whence he came!

Seriously, earn some cash, or sell your house and dump your net connection. Cause if you can't afford your free games along with 30 buck one time payment, you probably don't even deserve to live in what ever country you currently reside in.

Awesome rant dude! You're right, it's not like the've gotta spent £70 (or equiv $) on a Wii balance board. Chances are they're gonna pirate the game, so they don't have to pay full cost (wrong as it may be). Some people are just tight arsed monkeys who want EVERYTHING for nothing. Probably the same people who can't be arsed scouring the forums before asking for help. I think that this gadget has some potentional, and the cost of the unit alone is a bargain!!

Sell your ass if you have to, just get the cash and buy one!

:creep:

There's plenty of that for free on the net too...

It is only $19.99 at walmart. Since most people on here are pirating the games, just buy the damn thing. I've never had a problem with buying hardware, it's the $40-50 games that suck that piss me off.

I do think that they should just build it into the new controllers in the future though so if you buy a new controller it will have the added functionality without needing a new controller condom or the pain it is to change the batteries or re-connect the controller to a different wii. They should definately bundle new controllers with wii motoing plus built into them with new Wii game systems.

Totally agree. I'd say it's wth paying for just for the enjoyment of playing the likes of Grand Slam Tennis, Tiger Woods and the upcoming Red Steel 2. I've seen them going for £18 each standalone in the UK so it's hardly a King's ransom. I bought 2 on launch day and couldn't be happier. :)

IMHO, pirate the software. Support the hardware (mainly cause you've got very little choice).

If almost all games had quality like SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii, I'm positive there would be a whole lot LESS pirates.

Can we remember here that we are talking about a console that is aimed heavily at multiplayer gaming so it's given that people are going to want at least 2. That's £40 right there. £80 if you want 4 of them.

I think the reason people are annoyed is because the wii remote is so expensive as it is. £30 for the wii remote, £15 for the nunchuk and another £20 for the WM+. So for an entire setup (not counting all their other boards, wheels, guns, classic con, heart monitor, etc.) that £65 PER CONTROLLER. Remembering that this console is highly multiplayer focused that's £130 for two

Looking from it from an electronics point of view the price is obviously required to cover the high cost of the components inside and manufacture but clearly most people aren't looking at it that way.

Also, it's a highly "kiddie" console. I don't think kids have that much money laying around.

i agree with chrisrx
its not just the motion plus, its the price of the controllers too
the wii is positioned as a family and part console. yet....

if i want to get a multiplayer party game for ps2 or ps3, buy buzz, for 50 euro you get the game, which is fantastic, plus 4 controllers.

if you want a multiplayer quiz for wii

buy raving rabbits tv party 60 euro

3 more wiimotes 3x40 euro
3 more nunchuck 3x20 euro
=240 euro

or if you want to stick to a shite quiz

smarty pants
3 more wiimotes
=160 euro

Who doesn't buy every last option of every last peripheral at the same time?

I know i bought all 4 wiimotes, nunchucks, balance board, and WM+ all at the same time. I mean, who actually makes those purchases over time?

Not me, I seriously just like to add up all my stuff and pretend I bought it at once. I'm sure everyone bitching about the price went out last tuesday and spent a solid $300.

How about looking at it from another point of view.

Privacy is a problem small or big doesn’t matter, in the end it’s a problem and cause
Fewer sales of games
The wave effect from that is companies and game makers need to recuperate that loss from other avenues, such as higher prices for consoles, games and accessories.

It’s a catch 22, people hack cause games cost to much but game cost to much because they’re not enough people purchasing!!

If your downloading and coping games, sorry but you really can’t complain.

I don't mind buying things that hold their value over time... but spending thousands on games/controllers that will be worth almost nothing in 5 years is a bit depressing...

what annoys me is that wm+ is something that should have been included in the first version of wii controls. that being said, i'm all for buying a wm+.

I try to, like, when I got my Wii, I got 2 additional Wiimotes and 2 Nunchuks. All I needed was that last set so 4 people could, not just 3. I understand where that is coming from still. But, if you mean getting everything "maxed" out, that's a bit costly - especially if you won't be able to use them most of the time.

That's what you get with more technology. But some/most people will buy good games. (i.e. SSBB) They just "have" to test it out because they know that more than 50% of games are crap, and reviews are sometimes useless because that may not be what the user feels.

It is. But thinking like is for those who think long-term. :P

Or for those who have no full time job and few future job prospects...

I didn't have any problem going out and buying a WM+ unit, of course I only have one Wiimote. I think that people are getting so used to free shit that whenever they are required to buy something, they get all bent out of shape.

Sorry guys, that's the cost of being a pirate. Sometimes you just have to take your lumps.

I happily went out and bought 2, Hopefully they will be well used once WSR is released in the UK. Its not as if the games are going to cost me anything after all :D

Ive been playing the Japanese version, I prefer to play my games in english. Isnt this site all about piracy? Damn. I must be on the wrong site! :O
