My Dad Has Passed Away!

Hey guys! I've not been around for a few days. My dad passed away this past Friday due to complications from cancer surgery. We as a family are in shock because for the first 8 days after surgery he was recovering so well. This is the absolute hardest thing that I've been faced with in my whole life. I will depend on the Lord to get me through this. This is just a total shock to me.

I just seen him the day before he developed complications & he was doing better than expected. I'm just so sad & overwhelmed right now with grief. He was only 66 years old & was a strong man. We just thought he would always make it through anything because he was so strong & a fighter. I will never get over him but he'd want me & my entire family to keep the faith & go on with our lives. It's just so hard because he was loved by many & never met a stranger in his life. He made many friends & always has been a family man. I cry as I write this & please keep me in your thoughts because this is truly the most difficult thing I've ever faced. Thanks!

Very sorry to hear about your dad passing tonybologna. I'm sure his battle with cancer has been very difficult for you and your family. I hope you can be there for each other, celebrate the time you had with your father, and find some peace. Sincere condolences, fellow 'temper. You're in our thoughts. -_-

My Sincerest condolences man... losing a family member who's close to you... is just.. difficult... may he rest in peace and god bless you. Your father sounded so much like a samaritan when i read your post, always kind, gentle and affectionate to others, and the other people of the population respected him for who he was.
i hope you will make it through this man. and i am so terribly sorry for your tragic loss! :'(

I wish you get all the strength in the world to face this. You will overcome this. Just give it time.

And... I'm sure your dad will live on, in your hearts and elsewhere...

I dont post so much, Gbatemp quite developed into something that is no more my "home", like it was when i was part of the scene itself, before everything.

Anyway these things are always important, since the peoples here are part of me in a way or two. Ive faced many lossess in my life, some of them really painful and destructive.

Stay together, don't leave behind anyone, make yourself strong thru the other family members energy, dont go down and most important never lose the willpower to go on.

Im sure that your father is near you all, supporting the whole family.
My condolences and a big hug to you and to your family.

Life, like show, must go on....it can't rain forever.

@Tonybologna: I understand that the loss is hard to take.
However, i suggest talking about it with your friends to cope with it.
You should keep your private details private, because they are... you know... private.
If you post this stuff on the internet, something bad is bound to happen.
It will almost certainly attract trolls or cause trouble.
You should rely on people who care about you. Talk to them, let them cheer you up.
Only real friends will do that. Not random people on the 'net, because they don't really know and love you.
Take care of yourself and value the friends you love, they will be your guide in the next months.
Good luck. I know what you are going through right now.

I am sorry for your loss.

Hey you know what got me through, always remind yourself, you'll see them again someday.

*ps trollers, flamers and anything else, have some respect

Thanks for the prayers & concern guys. I get so troubled reading some posts. I know I posted this over the net & expect trolling but some of the comments here I wouldn't make to a dog or any other animal. I'll just ignore all future trolling & pray for the ones doing so. I do appreciate all the other very nice concerns. It's hard but I'll get through it. My dad was a very special person & was known by many in the area for his kind & gentle ways. I'll see him another day on the other side. He's looking down on me now from heaven & that gives me some comfort to help get through this time. Thanks again guys for the ones really showing their deepest thoughts & concerns.

Sorry to hear about that man, I have been through three deaths in my life. My 2 grandma's and my grandma's best friend who was like a Grandma too all of my brothers and sisters.

I have never lost a parent though and I couldn't picture dealing with the lost of a parent.

My condolences go out to you.

:(

We go today & pick out his monument for his grave. Just another tough day but I'll use what he wanted & that's God's strength to get me through. Thanks again for the prayers!

Sorry to hear your dad passed away. RIP just keep strong and help your family to be a good man who loves his father

G
I wish you and your family all strenght this earth can deliver.

Still I wonder... we as human... shouldn't we see the death as something good ?
My father for example always says he thinks it should be seen as some kind of
freedom for the one who passed away, and in that respect be celebrated.
I guess he's right, still the pain and sorrow you feel will drag all people that
were related down, but remember you will always remember him for who he was and what he did to everyone.

Tony,

My heart and prayers are with you. My father also died from cancer at almost the same age. I know how hard it can be. I'm so happy that you have faith and your family to see you through these trying times.

I also think you should know that your first post proved somthing to me. In it were little signs that your Father had raised you well. You are a polite, obviously kind, and decent person who expresses himself well. That is a testament to your Father's life. He will always be with you. And every time you succeed in life he will share in your victories. And someday, you will see his refelection in the eyes of your children.

I wish you all the best. Love and Prayers.
