I'm finally getting a Google Pixel after all these years

When I bought my current phone three years ago (a Nokia 7 Plus), they still weren't being sold in Hungary, so I thought Android One would be a good compromise (I'm a sucker for stock Android and updates).
As it turns out, Nokia's handling of the Android 10 update wasn't the best, because it was filled with terrible bugs (regular freezes, crashes, and random reboots). And this is the version my device is going to be stuck at, because it's not getting any more updates…
My bad habit of charging the phone overnight finally caught up to me and the battery started inflating so much, the display is bulging and popping out on the right side. I'll swear off this habit.
I'm not throwing the Nokia out, of course. I'll remove the battery and put the device away. I might get some use out of it in the future.
It won't actually be in my possession for the next ~2 weeks, though, because of the terrible timing of the battery inflation. I'm about to go to scout camp, and it's definitely not arriving before I leave. Anyway, I'm looking forward to my Pixel 4a and hope it'll live a longer life.

Wtf you're not supposed to charge a phone overnight?

What kind of baby ass commie batteries do we have these days?

Time for some tough love, i'mma stick two wireless chargers and plug my phone in and it's going to learn to like it

Pixel is the only way for decent AOSP-like on schedule. Alternatives either have glitches or stupid delays (Android One/Nokia/Xiaomi) or limited software updates (Motorola).

I hope to get my hands on one when I visit Europe next year, because it is just plain expensive here since it is an import. Or just go Samsung lmao, OneUI ain't that bad and software updates are consistently good now.

Modern lithium batteries have good resistance to charging over night in general, specially with fancy controllers and software tricks like disabling fast charging over night or dropping the power down as it fills up

Lugabble PCs like the Compaq Portable and IBM Portable PC had really good designs and it's a shame there's no modern luggable machines like that being made.

Varies depending on if you're just trying to get high or want to get high and have a nice flavorful experience doing so. Just wanna get high, doesn't matter, smoke that shit and cough the whole way

Still fighting with insurance to get my work done and my dentist decides to go on vacation like I expect him to be a slave at his trade how dare he vacation without my approval
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Nice experience, you generally would want to consume within 6 months or so from package date, or make sure it's kept out of light and with a ~60% humidity regulation pack (like Boveda) in the container. That keeps it supple and not dried out and flavorful. Kept that way you're probably in best case scenario for like a year
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
"not dried out" yeah weed is dried when you smoke it but there's a difference between dry and dust lol

Stuff I'm vaping right now is 2 years old. It sucks. Some of the THC degrades into other less psychoactive cannabinoids at that age too so not even getting the full effect from it, mega lame lol.
