So I got bored tonight, and installed Windows 11 on my Raspberry Pi 4...

...And it was awful. I installed Windows 11 on my 2.00GHz overclocked 4GB Raspberry Pi 4, and the performance (even on SSD) was utter shit. I used my licensed copy of NTLite to strip it down of bloatware first. Still pretty sluggish though. So that was fun.
Without hardware acceleration, I wasn't expecting much, but I didn't think it would be so unresponsive. Hopefully some kind of open source video driver at least gets 2D acceleration for the desktop. I even turned off all the fancy special effects, to no avail. Was a neat experience seeing Windows running on a Raspberry Pi though, I never thought that would happen beyond Win10 IoT.

4/10, not recommended beyond bragging rights.

that pi has almost the same specs as my main PC running Windows 7... (mine is 2.7Ghz with 3 gigs of ram, plus a GeForce GT 1030 with another 3ish gigs a' vram for the soupa kool vidja gaem graffix)

Windows is bloated af. Even stripping most of it stuff it's still not very lean compared to a slim linux distro.

Maybe if there were batter drivers, and some kind of a 3.0GHz+ SoC in there that's not on the low-end, then I could see Windows on the Pi being useful. But until then, People should keep Windows on x86/x64 SoC boards for now. Like Nvidia's Jetson Nano line.
