I have a IRL male friend. I found out that he says he’s a female in a lewd discord server.I thought that he might be trans and didn’t want to tell me out of fear or out of distrust.
So, I asked him about it. I understand that I cornered him and that isn’t a healthy way to address something like that, but I have known this dude for years, and trusted him with a lot of my own personal stuff, so I felt like I could ask him.
Turns out, he just tells people he’s a female because “Women have it a lot easier.”
What am I supposed to do?! Is he even doing anything wrong??
I feel like I don’t have an obligation to “protect” the people in the server, but I also don’t think he should be tricking these people into role play/pic sharing(They aren’t his pics, BTW. Just ripped from /b/) without them at least knowing that he isn’t really who he claims to be.
Help me GBATemp.
UPDATE: I told him that I found it to be a shitty thing to do. He said "I have been doing this since I was 14. Chill". I said that was the kind of thing that betas do (Yes, he also believes in the alpha/beta meme) and he respond with a long paragraph about how I didn't understand how much privilege I have as a female. Hasn't responded to my "lol" yet, so I think I upset him lol.
Thank you guys for helping me dodge a bullet with this guy.
