This PS5 message looks promising...

I hope it's not the typical issue for most people. Hopefully this is just a circumstantial fluke, like his room was already hot or something.

I'm curious how the PS5 is placed/located in the room, is it perhaps in an enclosed space with little to no airflow?

At least it's got some kind of protection in place to stop it from exploding. Kinda sucks for me though I pretty much live in a desert during the summer months.

I'm going to wait and see if any hardware problems crop up before buying a PS5. Our PS4 Pro serves me fine so far.

it was apparently in a bestbuy where they had it in a cramped plastic case with no air flow. ofc its gonna overheat with no breathing room......

the problem I see is that this may be common. the ps5 is huge, so fitting that into an entertainment area, with a lot of room for airflow, on top of having x number of other things plugged in, because sony was too cheap to offer bc for more than one system, could be a disaster waiting to happen. I'm talking about the average person. I've seen countless people with 360s set other electronic stuff on top of the system, so that it gets almost no airflow.

Back when there were manuals, there was a warning to take a 10-15 minute break for each hour played. This is the enforcement! Lol

that's something I do miss. when I heard that the switch was using carts, I was hoping manuals too. that would've put it over the top.
